Re: Problems with Sprint WORLD Unlocked Radio
Yeah..the new patched 1.96 radio worked out really well for me,may be a zillion times better than the first one.I also tried the newer 2.05 radio, but it still buggy and lagging, for now,I'm going to stick with the 1.96.

But yes the 1.96 is perfoming even better, signal is stronger than before. thats the only problem i had with 2.05 |
Re: Problems with Sprint WORLD Unlocked Radio
Well I also have the new 1.96 and it working with no problem. The only thing I have a problem is the manual thing, Every time I switch to GSM, I have to go with the manual and select Tmo. I wish there was a way that after the first time the phone remembered and would automatically connect back to Tmo GSM network.
Picture this You are at home and you are connected to your Wireless network (wifi) second floor and your wireless network doesn't reach your basement/cellar and you happen to take your laptop down to the basement and after returning to the first floor you had to reconnect to your Wireless network and you would have to re-insert the WEP/WPA key again every time you move out of range. Well I hope this make it clear, but this is what is happening to me. Every time I lose the signal I have click Select and reselect Tmo. Also some that is happening is the my phone would drop the signal or at least the bars on the phone show that I have no signal, but someone is able to call me but I’m not able to call out until a do one of the following 1. Soft reset the phone 2. Return to CDMA or select automatic and re select manual and do the whole look for network Has anyone been able to fix this or to make the phone remember that you have a Tmo sim and that this is the network it should be connecting too? I know this is a work in progress and all but this is the other bug. |

Re: Problems with Sprint WORLD Unlocked Radio
Yes
After flashing the 1.96 WU radio, I am flipping back and forth to 1x and EVDO. It seems it goes from EVDO to 1X, then loses signal completely, then finally goes back to EVDO, but then eventually cycles through the same thing again. Another issue I am having is received texts show one hour in the past. This may be a network issue, as I flashed back to stock rom and radio and had the same issue... maybe or maybe not. Is anyone else having the texting timestamp issue? The flipping back and forth on 1x/EVDO is driving me crazy. Additionally, and it may be unrelated, but now QuickGPS will not update as well as GPS lock works, however it does not list the sattelite count it is currently connected to, and TOMTOM will not work unless primed again.. kinda wierd |
Re: Problems with Sprint WORLD Unlocked Radio
I've been running the 1.96WU radio since last night and haven't noticed any issues... however... as always, I did have to do a PRL and Profile update to stabilize things. I also went ahead and did a hard reset last night even though I probably didn't need to do so. All is running well today, and I was among those having serious issues with the 2.05WU radio.

Re: Problems with Sprint WORLD Unlocked Radio
why not just set it to CDMA only? That way it wont get a chance to search for GSM if you keep it on world mode. and no issues on battery life here using the 2.05 radio though I probobly need to run the World unlocker again since I just flashed but will do that when needed to

Re: Problems with Sprint WORLD Unlocked Radio
Nice to know they're charging money for an unlock they did not test thoroughly.

Before anyone jumps on your back, i fully agree with you. I thought it was a bad idea from day one..But any how just my opinion....But hey with a few strings attached i guess if you really need it "with a few bugs" you can get on another network. |
