Re: MY LOCATION is wrong in Google Maps.
I haven't had that problem but I am in a 1x area and the whole 'my location' thing doesn't work for me. (Sprint) Dissapointing too since I really like the weather clock...Google maps however finds four satelites and my exact location even though I live in a newly built house and google hasn't updated all of the roads and addresses yet.

I did that too. It's def. NOT wireless coverage. I upgraded from the TP and the TP had no problems with MY LOCATION in Google Maps.

Re: MY LOCATION is wrong in Google Maps.
I bet that google maps is locating you based on cell phone tower. Google maps locates me about 7 miles from my actual location at home (until I got gps to work).
Did you change the setup "location on/911 only" to "on"? Are you VZW? Most individuals with VZW seemed to work out of the box once they set location "on". Other cell phone providers had to jump through more hoops: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=78592&page=2

Re: MY LOCATION is wrong in Google Maps.
just add your city on the world clock and select it as default and the my location is going to adjust itself after that you can delete your city if you want to, that happened to me too
hope it helps Last edited by Superboy007; 10-31-2009 at 05:25 PM. |

Re: MY LOCATION is wrong in Google Maps.
Thanks added; I don't care much about the 'my location' function. I don't travel much. I tried adding my city to the weather tab but it did nothing for the weather clock. Your tip on adding to the world clock did the trick. Thanks again
