Video Out & Portrait / Landscape Mode

I use the video out cable for charging in my vehicle and when I plug it in, it automatically switches to landscape mode. Is there a way to change the default back to portrait or a quick way to rotate the screen???

I just used keyboard config to map a long press of the back button to rotate the screen but I would still like a way to change the default setting.
