Crazy Vibrations

I have confirmed this on two Sprint TP2. Both running S2U2 from the thread here. I have the Cleanup Cab - DH does not.

Under Settings-->Sounds & Notifcations-->Event- Messaging: New Email Message --- We both checked the Vibrate box so it would both play tone and vibrate when a new email arrived. Upon doing so, the phone will sometimes not STOP vibrating when a message arrives. When it's happened to me, S2U2 has been active but even unlocking the phone didn't stop the vibrations. I had to go into the email.

Any suggestions? I turned the feature off because it's not a biggie to me but DH used it on his 6700 and needs it for work because of the noisy lab he works in. Has this happened to you?

I had this same problem with the TP1, but with texts. I always just thought it was a bug of the phone. Sorry, I dont have a fix

I have the oposite issue sometimes...
I ask for the ring/vib notification and I don't get it. It rings but not vib.
go figure.
And I am not running S2U if that matters.

Wow. That's a bug I haven't experienced since my Mogul! It would do that periodically too, but it wasn't consistent, and I wasn't using S2U2 back then, and that's before I started doing extensive tweaks and tuneups. So I don't think S2U2 would be causing it (but who knows, it might).

I don't know of a solution either. But... it might be a workaround if you turn on S2U2's previewing capability. You said it stops when the email is viewed right? Well, with previews on, if you tap on the preview and slide-to-unlock while the preview is visible, it will open directly to that message.
