Re: new converts to tp2 from blackberry storm
I did , well I didn't 'switch' because I still have my Storm just not using it right now. I would not waste my time with the Storm2. If you already have a Storm1 just write a big #2 on the back and you've got yourself a Storm2
Motorola Droid is ugly as sin but all the hype and marketing sure makes it tempting but in the end I feel like the TP2 is the better device and with hardspl just released now the real fun begins and the customizations are damn near endless with roms and Windows Phone. Note I have never used Android before but as far as I can tell it seems nice but lacks the depth of customization possible on WindowsPhone and with hardspl and all these ROMS popping up , i'd say the TP2 is the clear winner IMO. Tell me what you like about the BlackBerry OS??

The only thing I miss from my Storm it the quick email and BB messenger. Other than that TP2 is the best of the 2. Now I'm not limited by the 3 mb download that the Storm had plus a can now view video with out any issues. Be sides I got tired of this "better OS leaks" all the time. TP2 does not have issues with WiFi like the Storm 2 has. Don't for get the TP2 actual key pad |

Re: new converts to tp2 from blackberry storm
Well it all depend how big your hands are. All i know is that I can type way faster on the TP2 then on my Storm. Its not the greatest thats why I went with the TP2 and it actual key pad. Sounds like you want to use the "on screen typing " more than the actual key pad. I would suggest to go for the Imagio in that cause.

Re: new converts to tp2 from blackberry storm
Man I can really scream along typing fast on my Storm . I can't get anywhere close to the speed on the TP2 on screen keyboard , but thats why TP2 has a physical keyboard, so use it.
Typing on the Storm to me is fluid , except for editing and web navigation ect , for that you really need a dpad or a stylus. I used to get SOOO frustrated on my Storm trying to edit stuff or navigate the web. But BlackBerry OS is extemely linear and basically locked down. Your not gonna find any custom ROMs or endlessly hackable apps on the Storm and that is where Windows Mobile really shines. The only thing I truly miss about my Storm is sleeper magnets and push for ALL mail accounts, other than that Windows Phone pwns. |
