I've been checking this site for the unlocker often, and today I could have sworn I saw it; I didn't have my laptop, but I checked with my phone. Anyway I clicked on the link and I SWEAR it was the TP2 CDMA link, but the page must have jumped or something, because I now realize I downloaded the HSPL for the Touch Pro. Anyhow, in my enthusiasm I went and flashed this to my TP2. Obviously it won't turn on now, but is there any way to save it?

yep... go through insurance so htc can save it...

i'm not sure how good vzw insurance is, but it's through asurion so file a claim through them. not sure i would mention that you tried to hack your phone though, they probably wouldn't like that too much.

Open a donation link for a new phone, and tell people you have this AMAZING piece of software coming soon with a specific ETA, and then... oh wait i was thinking of something else.

You downloaded the hardspl thru your TP2? and ran it from your TP2?

If they ask what you did to have it not turn on say that your phone was acting slow and as per Tech Support they asked you to factory default your phone and when you did that it wouldn't start up.

try getting to the bootloader: hold volume down and the back button for a couple seconds then hit the power button. this should get you to a colored screen that says serial

then try running the vzw rom in the upgrade section

my tp2 is unlocked bc i accidently download the tp1 unlocker as well and flashed...it worked though the special code is 0001001 0101000 ..one thing i hate is that mighty still hasnt posted his rom...im over the tp thank god they were universal unlockers! lol

This thread will obviously be moved in short order, but while its hear im going to say "ETA Today" obviously doesnt mean TODAY today. More like tomorrow today or friday today. And I really thought they learned their lesson with *cough* MISSING DATES *cough* but apparently not. For future guys... DONT UPDATE THE STATUS UNLESS YOU ACTUALLY ARE PROVIDING THE DOWNLOAD LINK. mmkay?

so what are you trying to say? that the hspl isn't worth donating? that the team doesn't deserve the money? i'm not saying my sh!t doesn't stink, but i've also come to realize that the vast majority of people out there complaining are the ones that aren't giving any money at all. trust me, i would absolutely LOVE to have the hspl today (my girlfriend would disagree) but i'm content in knowing that it will be out sooner or later and when i'm not paying anything for it, who am i to expect anything? i will give once it's released, i promise you that. the elite team has done almost EVERYONE in this community a favor and when things get held up this is how we show our appreciation? ok... i'm done venting for now

I guess I'll post in xda; they're more helpful over there. I wasn't trying to bring out the idiots infuriated over the unlocker; I was just trying to gain some insight to try to fix my phone.

Sorry; yes, yours was the only worthwhile suggestion. I'm still trying to hard reset, but since I've not done it with this device I don't even know if I'm doing it correctly.

By the way, my question wasn't what to do about filing a claim; that's a last resort. I have insurance, and I will try that if nothing else works.

hold down on the talk and end key then hold down on the power key. folow instructions on screen if they come up

to put it into bootloader, power+volume down while poking the soft reset hole. considering there's no official unlocker yet, however, i don't think there's any chance as of right now because chances are you nuked the stock SPL

Turn device off.. hold vol down and power.. should get you on the colors screen (bootloader)

Hold bot Send+End and power to hard reset..

Agreed...while I think we are all grateful for all the work that is currently going on for the benefit of us all, it is a far better idea to be conservative with regard to product release dates/times, than it is to be optimistic, and have people getting antsy and irritated.
