Microsoft Tag and Youtube?

I have this problem using Microsoft Tagreader on TP2 and hope someone helps.

I recently found that the Golf Digest magazine started using the Microsoft Tag. The ideal is that you download the Tagreader, install on PPC, launch and use the camera to scan the tag, and it will bring you to a youtube instruction video. Unfortunately, the Tag reader tries to bring up IE to visit the youtube mobile site. That leads to flash problems and other inconveniences. Can the tag reader be configured such that it launches the youtube application on TP2 instead of IE?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Microsoft Tag and Youtube?

No. Unfortunately there is currently no way to link directly to the youtube app. It's the same situation when getting a youtube url via e-mail or test message. It'll just open into a browser.

I wish it were different. It would be very convenient to be able to do this.

The tag reader is pretty cool. quick, easy to use.

One thing you could do is install skyfire and set it as your default browser. If I'm not mistaken (which I could be because I haven't tried it yet) it should bring up skyfire instead of IE.... but considering it's a program offered by microsoft they might have locked it down to launch ONLY IE.

Re: Microsoft Tag and Youtube?

My Tagreader opens links in Opera. There is a setting in Tagreader to toggle open in IE.
