Creating a Shortcut in Start Menu...

Can anybody help me out with creating a shortcut to a program on the SD card in the Start Menu and Programs menus? Specifically Garmin XT. I clicked the icon and copied it, went into the programs folder in the main memory and pasted a shortcut, which works. But when I click on the start menu and look at the programs available in the dropdown or all programs listing, Garmin does not show up. Do I need to paste the shortcut somewhere else?

Thanks for any help. I searched and didn't really find a clear answer to this question...

Re: Creating a Shortcut in Start Menu...

Sure thing.

The place you want to paste it isn't Programs, it's

My Device\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

At least, that worked for me with programs that weren't installed, but were just on my SD card (or the HTC Wifi Sharing program that just shows up in the Windows folder with no shortcut at all).

Re: Creating a Shortcut in Start Menu...

Not sure if it'll work for a folder shortcut but I use link creator for the OP's issue... It might work for the folder.
