Wow, facebook integration = not that great

So I finally got around to taking advantage of linking people's profiles, and what I found was they sort of put this in, but then declared it done too early.

People's status updates are limited to the width of the screen, then it's "..." and when you click on it, it takes you to opera mobile. Would it have killed them to make it multiline?

Also, I thought conversations on facebook would be picked up with this thing... Am I doing something wrong?

I am in the same boat, it won't even always pick up everything. Especially pictures.

If you link your profile BEFORE you add all your contacts via activesync, then it will grab all the pictures. Pretty annoying.

you can manually associate profiles afterwards. easy for me but probably a pain if you have tons of contacts.

Re: Wow, facebook integration = not that great

Well what I'm wondering is, the more contacts you link, does that mean more data is transferred while your phone is idle? Or does it only update when you check their contact info?

Oh, and they have all this facebook integration, but they couldn't include the accounts manager thingy that added "Upload to facebook" as a menu option in the album?

They definitely were headed in the right direction with this phone, but why can't a company just think logically with little things like this...

Re: Wow, facebook integration = not that great

You could tell they just put it in there as a work in progress.
I think SPB mobile shell does a really good job linking profile pictures compared but again does not do anything else.
