Opera Mini used to be the fastest browser on the TP and was my browser of choice for regular content web pages. Now I try to install/run it and this Sprint Titan thing pops up, takes forever to load, and takes forever to browser. I remember the TP didn't have Titan but used another Java application manager that worked much better.

Re: Why is Sprint Titan so slow? Can't use Opera Mini.

(1) Make sure you have the most recent version of Mini
(2) Are you running a TP or a TP2? Change your forum info if it's the latter...

Re: Why is Sprint Titan so slow? Can't use Opera Mini.

Here is what I use.....It will install Java client and opera. Will also give you a shortcut.....It is by far my browser of choice! This is 4.2. There is a 5 beta out there but it doesn't compare to 4.2 yet.....

Do you have to uninstall the stock Opera first before installing this? What is the difference between this one and 9.5 for mobile pc? That is what I have on my Sprint TP2.

Thank you.

Re: Why is Sprint Titan so slow? Can't use Opera Mini.

Mini is way faster than 9.5.

You don't uninstall 9.5 (you can't, it's built into the ROM). Mini installs on its own & you can still run 9.5 when you want.

5 is going to be awesome eventually, right now it is insanely buggy however.
