a hard reset didnt fix it...that returns all reg edits ive done in the past to normal correct? atleast thats what ive always assumned...correct me if I am wrong...but yeah Id def try it if you find it that would be great man...

*update fixed* i ran hd tweak and disabled audio booster,acoustic settings back to default




well the thread i thought was the fix actually wasnt anyway mine is doing the same thing i think we screwed when i plug a headphone in it shows the icon just no sound threw the headphones

I used to have this problem on a regular basis on my Apache. Dust would get in the jack and hose the connection. Try blowing in there really hard. Or using compressed air.

I'm not kidding.

yes run the app called hd tweak and in audio theres a setting called =acoustic settings. place it on default

I had the same problem I used the hd tweak, did a soft rest and these solutions did not work for me. I finally had to do a hard reset and that fixed my problem. I was using one of the custom ROMS. Luckly I backed everything up with sprite backup so I was up and running within 15 mins.
