Ive recently converted over from Crackberry.com to HERE. Ive given up on RIM and my Blackberry after the Storm ed me to the point of jumping ship. But i have to say... the level of complaining going on over this unlocker has ed me more than my STORM; which is some accomplishment! Does anyone GET that these guys have LIVES other than working on these things. They give their time and FREE services to create this unlocker and all some very THICK headed people can do is tell them to hurry it up!? This thing is like found money....its a gift. Be thankful when it arrives that someone actually used their brains and talent to do YOU a favor and create it! (for free no less)

Here's a question, what will be so much better with the phone when it can be unlocked and a cooked 6.5 rom on it? From what I have read, 6.5 is just 6.1 with a new UI. I understand that using a cooked rom will get rid of the bloatware that is loaded on these but I have been pleasantly shocked at how well this phone runs out of the box.

I have only had the phone for a few days and with the help of some cleanup cabs from this forum it runs even better. So why all the agony that is plaguing some of the impatient waiters? What will be that much better?

I ask this in all honesty, I really want to know.

Mods, I started this thread to express my total frustration with the idea of doling out a solution that in the past has been offered with little reserve by other authors and developers. In my time at PPCGeeks I have never flamed, belittled, cursed or been otherwise contrary. I respect the intellectual properties of others. I have always been thankful for the many efforts and have expressed that in the form of donations and polite thanks.

I do not wish to end my experience here under a cloud so please close and delete this thread.

The problem from my point of view is that the Elite team did it to themselves. They kept everyone tagging along by saying it'll be out anyday now. What they should've done is keep their mouths shut until they were truly ready to release. Its basically like throwing blood in the ocean, you will eventually see sharks all over the place thinking there is some meat to chomp on.

Personally, I love my tp2 as is, I am kinda happy their isn't an unlocker so that I can actually use my phone instead of flashing new roms everyday like I did with the tp1.

Also, just my opinion, but I think they had this unlocker done maybe over a month ago but they are just hustling for the money now. I think they are experts and can probably crack these things in a day or two if they wanted. Maybe they purposely leaked false info about the release dates to get more interest and thus more money. Who knows if what I say is right or wrong, however, I wasn't born yesterday and I know the economy is doing bad.

Spoken like a true BB user. First read the thread. There are 2 major factors that have us pissed:
1) They set the release dates, and have missed everyone. If they are busy....dont give faux release dates.
2) Folks pay them $$$$$ and no we dont want a refund, we want our prodcts as advertised.
3) DUDE YOU PURCHASED A 1ST GEN BB STORM, AND YOU ARE CALLING SOMEONE THICK HEADED*. LOL

Obama Care (what do that have to do with a unlocker)?, dude where you been the past 8 1/2 years?...hahahaha sorry don't mean to hijack the thread; but d@# tired of hearing people who makes less then $250,000.00 a year crying as if they will pay SOOO much in tax..any how...do you think the cooks/Chefs will start charging also?; I don't mind I donate/give/pay for the ones I download and use anyways, just curious.

One last thing, STOP donating money to these people. Once they see the revenue stream drying up, they will then release it. As long as they keep this hustle going and suckers are sending them money, they will keep sitting on it till they bleed everyone dry.

Being a former mod and the 2nd person to get an account on this website, i think that this whole situation is wrong. I understand that the elite team is working hard to get this all finished, but these false release dates are driving people mad. Either release it or dont give dates on when it is going to be released. Another thing I don't like is the fact of this licensing situation. Yes, it is their right to restrict the use of their software as well as charge for it, but isn't this a website for users to come hack and mod their stuff without paying for it? At what point do we lose sight of what this website was created for. Soon we will be paying monthly to unlock our devices and when we do we will have advertisements posted everywhere. Aside from that these mods are out of control. How can you go around threating to ban people and delete peoples threads left and right. This is a community not a dictatorship. If someone wants to discuss something they have the right to do so without fearing that the mods are going to get mad. I feel like this site is going downhill. I am sure that we are losing loyal members everyday because of this. I did my best to help wideawake create this website because the same situation that is going on here was happening on su.com. I used su.com for a long time but the "forum drama" got out of control. We need to keep this site a place where people feel like they can trust each other. This unlocker is tearing everyone apart.


ps i am still anxiously awaiting the unlockers release!!!
