Rigid Windshield Mount

I had a mount that I really liked. It was a simple CaseLogic universal mount. It fit my phone very well and was pretty damned stable. I've had it about 3 years. I suppose the sun and pressure finally got to it and the plastic molded to the suction cup finally gave. So now I'm looking for another. I can't find the one I had. And most everything out there seems to have a gooseneck. I imagine that'd be a bit floppy and isn't what I want. I found something by Arkon:

http://www.amazon.com/Arkon-CM933-Lo...6576198&sr=8-3

Does anyone have experience with them? Can anyone point me in the right direction for something similar?

Re: Rigid Windshield Mount

no problem... i love how it can be mounted horizontal or vertical (great for GPS apps)
and the TP2 one is actually better than the TP one

Re: Rigid Windshield Mount

Thanks for sharing. I have one question about the mount you posted strra. Would it fit the (CDMA) TP2 if in a case? I bought this one from eabay on Monday and got it today. http://cgi.ebay.com/HTC-Touch-Pro-2-...item5ad4698c92 I can say I like it and find it usefull until something better comes along, in case some one was wondering. Thanks again.

i really have my doubts that a phone in a case would fit.... it's a pretty snug fit as it is

Re: Rigid Windshield Mount

Welp, as cheap as they are these days, I can tell you that I'll certainly try another suggestion if I don't get along with strra's recommendation. I loved my Case Logic, even though it was a universal. And it was 2 freakin' bucks @ Target on clearance.

Re: Rigid Windshield Mount

Try this one... http://cgi.ebay.com/HTC-Touch-PRO-2-...item5634f26e16 I have it and it works awesome. Very stable and it lets the phone slide out in widescreen while mounted.
