Sprint touch pro 2 replacement battery door?
 

It has occurred to me that Sprint seems to be the only carrier who does not offer a replacement battery door for the TP2. I have called Sprint/HTC and the best answer I got from HTC was to check boxwave.com and daydeal.com (of course neither site has them). Does anyone know where you could purchase an original Sprint TP2 battery door?

Thanks but that is for the GSM model of the phone which would not fit the CDMA version with the 3.5mm headphone jack. I am looking to find out where to buy the OEM Sprint standard battery door that comes with the phone.

If you find somewhere that does i would appreciate it. I want to put a sprint cover on the verizon since the sprint has vents for heat. Also the verizon's back seems like it will fall apart easier since it has multiple pieces.

It may look like it has vents, but it doesn't. The only holes that aren't covered from the inside are over the speakers.

If you like the Verizon battery cover, you can use that one. I dyed mine black so the VZW logo doesn't appear anymore.

oh good looking out. I was mis-informed by a co-worker telling me Sprint did it cause of the heat issues with the Touch Pro.

One time I went to a Sprint store and told them I had cracked the plastic over the camera on my cover (for my touch pro.) I had intended to dye it, but never got around to it. Anyways, they gave me a whole new one from a return or something for free.

Worth a shot :/

UPDATE:
So after numerous calls to Sprint as well as HTC, the final word has been that basically in order to get a replacement battery door you to have insurance and file a claim to have the ENTIRE phone replaced. This seems like a problem for Sprint as they will be compromising potentially fine working units for people who simply need a $20.00 part which almost all other major carriers of the phone offer to their customers.

And Sprint wonders why there were so many returns on the TP1 & TP2.....

Did you do like I said? Just go to a Sprint store and tell them you cracked the part over the camera and was wondering if you could get a replacement. More than likely they'll give you one for free. If they don't, try the next store in the area, and the next if need be. This is a 5 cent part that they couldn't care less about.

I'm not sure where you live, but currently any Sprint Store within a 30 mile radius of me does not have the Touch Pro 2 nor do they know if/when they will be getting it.

Nonetheless, I see it as a great inconvenience to have to go on a wild goose chase to get a rather common part that most carriers offer.

I'm looking for the cover too. For my Sprint Touch Pro 2.......I'll trade for another Sprint cover...I want the Sprint cover... the Verizon 1 may do but get rid of the Verizon crap on it. Mine just has scratches on it from it falling off my hip from a snap-on case that did not hold up for very long. The dude talking about trading which cover you have?
HTC sent me to a link www.pcdphones.com that has a cover......I don't think it is the right one.

If anyone wants to sell their Sprint Touch Pro 2 back battry cover then holla at me. I see the verizon one goes for about $14.99 on their site. I use paypal when doing any online sales...I get alot of virus threats due to surfing alot so. It has to be in good to mint condition though

try buying an extended battery. they ussually come with a retrofitted back cover.

I'm gonna look more for it. Waiting on response from Accord in here. That link to battery cover thankyou but that 1 is ugly as heck. No holes that run down the case.....like sprint 1 better than that by far.

Hello all.....I have solved this issue and get this I called HTC. First I goto HTC site right and get the number to call direct.....The meesage on there says for accesories goto www.america.htc.com under contact us for the number. I do that to get to another number. The number is automated and just has a lady who just shoots out a bunch of numbers related to different departments. I had to go back cause the lady seems to think that anyone would be able to get any number down blurting them out so fast and when I call back a different message comes up...no lady blurting numbers and I get to talk to someone. I explain what I was looking 4 and they try to help me but asking for a number on back of phone that was not there so the guy transfers me to what he called their Sprint section......Guess what??......I just order the Sprint Battery cover for $16.99 plus shipping and possibly tax.....came to $20 and some change. I got the number from the guy in order for others to call so when I get back home I will post the number for all to see.

On HTC's us website, scroll over support and click on Customer Support. On the left side click on Service & Repair. The number is in the middle of the page. Went strait to human. No wait time.

Its cool. When I left I realized I forgot the number but couldn't wait to get it in PPCGeeks that I found a way to get it. I have to laugh a lil though cause the Touch Pro 2's keyboard is like the best (basically a keyboard minus Alt and Esc keys). I mean I could actually type all that and not get crazy annoyed by touch screen errors or T9 always trying to put words in my mouth.

It is crazy to me that a lot of people would disagree with you. People like that GSM style back for some reason. Even taking it and dying it different colors. What happens if say something goes wrong with phone and you need to turn it in for a replacement and you dyed your cover. then again I would hope people are keeping their originals,....original.

Not to mention putting Verizon back on a Sprint phone.......Oh no way. That is like Blaphemy in the cellphone world. Haha you texting on your Sprint phone and people see the SPRINT behind the screen but see Verizon on the battery cover.

I know why not just flash the phone with Verizon software and provision it for Sprint.

The fireball look is better to me and once I get the back cover, I ordered the Zagg InvisiShield for the phone so I will be straight when during my crazy Comp Tech adventures take place day by day. Once I get that I gotta see how much space it adds to the phone cause I;m gonna order a case too. HTC has a case for the phone that I actually seen at 1 Bestbuy store for $26 yet it is not even on their site. Same case I saw online for $16 somewhere (I think it was WMExperts). It was a basic black case with a soft beige interior that fits perfectly.

I just don't like Verizon....the Droid is nice but not nice enough for me to switch. A lot of people like the phone yet think about what the average phone user is..................................

I'm with you on this one. I bought a Verizon cover and dyed it black. Didn't like it at all so I bought the Sprint back from HTC and dyed that one. Looks great! I'm not a fan of the Orange but I like the design which is why I dyed it.

I know the Orange is.......IDK. Why they choose that color. You would figure the Sprint yellow but then yellow???????? Probably y they chose Orange. red would be better since at one time Sprint used red a lot. If anyone remembers the Bell Atlantic days.
