If unlocker is not ready, I am willing to risk my TP2 and use / test whatever Elite team is testing. Are you willing to use / test that? please vote...

There are lots of useless threads, i thought i should start one too.

I voted, but I'm pretty sure this "useless" thread is in the wrong section. Other than that its actually more useful than most of the others.

1. Even if you want to use their test HSPL, will they let you?

2. What is really the point of this thread?

Seriously, just deal with the wait like everyone else and show some gratitude when it is here. That is all cmonex and the others ask for.

ok, doesn't matter if you wanna throw your TP2 at elite team. They don't need testers. 2, people need to chill and stop this whole elite team is hold'n out. They have lives, famlies and other stuff to deal with. Just like all of you do. I know this is exciting but, come on, really guys/gals..... chill. Don't take it the wrong way I want it as bad as all of you. But 3 weeks has been pretty much nothing but....where is it, did you forget, I'm waiting is old and....just old. I bet if everyone chills, we will get it.

How do you know they dont need testers ?
If you are elite team member then you dont know what is happening.
Elite team said that that HSPL is ready, they are holding out because licensing webserver is not ready.

I don't need to know what is happening with the Elite Team regarding the HSPL, you guy act like a bunch of animals. Just chill and it will come out. I know about the whole licensing thing but to start threads and say "Well, I wanna be a tester" is useless. If they need testers they would have asked us. No need to start pointless threads that the Elite team could careless about. Like I said I am just as excited as all of you, but its old and THEY SAY THE SAME THING. Even several mods are saying this is old. PPCGEEKS members need to chill. Don't hate on me. But just sayin and its my 2cents. To each his own, I will leave it at that. Hate if you want but whatever!

Why not wait until a finished product is available? These guys are artists. Respect their craft and wait until they're comfortable with something that they can be proud of releasing to the public.

Hmmm, licensing webserver? I don't remember that being necessary on the Touch Pro or Mogul. It makes me REALLY hope that I don't have to exchange my device as I don't really want to have to go through the hassle of having to PM someone to get a new license if I have to get a replacement device. I wonder why they feel the need for a licensing server? I guess that means that it is about the money afterall.

I don't post here much, but I'll tell you what...if it is about the money...good for them...they work their arse off...because I can tell you I know **** about programming and hexology. That is NOT a word btw lol...i'm sure sprint/telus/vzw wouldn't be putting these guys on the payroll for it heh...:laughing6:

Look, there are only a few on here that don't like the discussion/speculation. It is not hurting anything at all. If the person actually developing the unlocker didn't welcome the discussion, she would not keep putting out the "1-2 more days" statements. She also posted at one point that she didn't understand and was frustrated as to why the threads were being locked and messages were being deleted when discussed. If you believe they are holding out on purpose for more donations, fine. If you don't, fine. Just say your piece and move on!

So OP and everyone who voted "Yes I am willing to use/test the pre-release unlocker" let me ask you a question:

Are you actually willing to put your money where your mouth is and if your phone gets bricked by an un-tested unlocker you just gonna throw it away and buy another one?

Or are you gonna go and cry and moan to your Sprint/Verizon/whatever carrier and actually try to make them gave you a new one essentially making them pay for this? You realize that by using the unlocker you are voiding your warranty and you are on your own? Or are you so *brave* because you will try to scam your <insert carrier here> into giving you another one?

Great point and most of the people that voted yes are probably with sprint and you wonder why the hell we pay so much more than the competitors for the same damn phone and why our deductables are now $100. Everybody needs to just chill out, after all this I wish the elite team just didn't accept donations and just charge everybody a flat fee to download the unlocker, then we will see how many people would be complaining then.

Yup, I am 100% sure that everyone who is willing to "test" is not goign to plunk 500+ bucks for a new phone. Not only they think that elite team owes them something, they also think that carrier needs to pay for beta testing. Pathetic.

Voicing your opinion is one thing but b*tch1ng and complaining is something else and thats basically what these forums have turned into. I would even tolerate if we had one stickied thread just for complaining but everybody wants to open their own thread complaining about the same damn thing and it is getting old.

And when they cant get a replacement from their carrier they start bashing the carrier or calling retentions trying to get something for nothing, all because they couldn't wait a few extra days and bricked their device using a pre-release unlocker.

Of course. Then you will see new polls going up on "who thinks <carrier> sucks!". And people with real problems can't get a warranty exchange because TP2 is out of stock since some dumb a**es bricked their phones and ran to exchange them.

here we go again. Cmonex is not going to rel bease the HSPL until it is 100% brick free. thats the way she opperates and thats the way it should be. Everyone in the Elite Team does not and i repeat DOES NOT owe anyone anything. they do this because they wont too not because they have too. so just chill and wait like everyone else. the HSPL will be here soon. I wouldnt even blame them if they decided not to release the HSPL because of all the negative things people are saying. So do everyone a huge favor and stop woth these unless threads and just chill out!

you people are retarted. the elite doesnt have a complete unlocker. that was only a test to see if it could be unlocked. they didnt unlock it the normal way, they just tested to make sure it is possible. the hspl itself needs to be packaged up. with the tools they used to get their phones unlocked you more then likely still wouldnt be able to unlock your phones unless somebody held your hand. the elite team doesnt have the unlocker, cmonex will post it as soon as shes done. if they were planning on holding it before they released it then they wouldnt keep saying tomorrow. as soon as its done it will be posted immediately.

Last night before signing off the Elite chatroom, Tobeychris stated that they needed to get the license server working and servers set up to keep from crashing PPCG as I'm sure we all know there will be lots of us trying to download at once. So it sounds like the unlocker is finished, they just need to get distribution sorted out.

You are right, just waiting on the server side of things. Also, cmonex would NEVER publicly release a test/unstable version of her unlocker. She would never want her name on something that could be possibly hazardous to thousands of $500+ phones therefore this thread is pointless in that nature. Just be patient, when she feels its ready, you all will get it.

you are confusing me, is she waiting for the server or is it not stable yet? I personally thought it wasn't packaged up yet, but of course i'm not cmonex and am more then likely wrong.

i donated but a traded in my touch pro 2. i will buy another when the unlocker or out. i know some people are tired of waiting, but what other choice do we have. i know waiting is hard, but at least we will get it. if someone knows any other way to make a HSPL you are welcome to make one. in other words weather you like it or not, you can't change it. at the moment i'm taking care of my uncle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. i've learned to accept the things you can't change. crying doesn't help. lord knows i tried.

you know whats funny, thursday in the elite chat i said is the server going to be ready, and everyone jumped on me and said that won't be a problem we have all these mirrors we can use, and now it comes back to the server. thanks cfay for the heads up, that was the only reason i asked, no more questions from me.
