yea it is a bit odd looking but ive wanted an android phone aswell for awhile, oir atleast to be able to run it on my TP2. If someone gets android running on the TP2 which i think will happen then i dont think ill get it. But it defiantly is nice and im glad that big red is finally branching out to google phones

a 5mp with autofocus will be very nice, i miss using my Nokia N95 8gb when it comes to the camera. quite frankly i would be alot happier if verizon got some high end nokia phones

I don't know about you guys, I think the device looks pretty nice excepting the part that is sticking out where the VZ logo is. BTW TP2 looks good from the top but back side is nah, and the thing is humongous (I know I have it).
If I could switch without any fee, def yes. MUCH better CPU + GPU, bigger screen (slightly), better OS(as in more room for growth not what's already out there), much better camera with dual flash, and MUCH much thinner device. How can you say no to that (unless this is a strictly business phone).

my TP2 is on eBay right now so I can get the Droid.

Not because I don't like the TP2; on the contrary...I LOVE it. But with the high demand for the TP2 right now and what they are going for on eBay, and my own curiosity about Android 2.0...a no brainer for me to give it a shot.

If I hate it, I'm up for upgrade/NE2 on my main line next summer; maybe WM7 will be out by then.

If WM7 is anything like the ZuneHD, which I just got the other day, it's going to be sweet.

I am considering sending the tp2 back as I have only had it a few days and waiting for the droid to come out to see which is better. Those droid specs are pretty slick but I am a winmo junky.

854×480? What a strange resolution. Is there even a name for that resolution? Oh well, it certainly peaked my interest. Too bad it's going to Verizon, I'll have to wait for something similarly specced to come to Sprint.
