i've read that the sim card should to be activated for it to work. not 100% sure on that though because i've never done it. just read it in the sim unlocker sticky thread

yes, i can testify that you have to have an active service with T-Mobile. I had a SIM card sitting around the house from an old phone with a discontinued plan and did the same thing and it didn't work. Went to T-Mobile and got on a prepaid plan and it worked right in the store. They gave me a new SIM card too, they would not activate the old one. Works great now. I don't have data or text so I can't confirm those services.

I have the verizon imagio the verizon service. Do I have to have the service to be able to call them and ask for the code?

Ok, so I unlocked my phone (Verizon Touch Pro 2) so that I can use it with my Tmobile service...everything works fine..the sms..in the left corner it sats tmobile and in the right it says verizon..but the still isnt connecting...do anyone know how that could be fixed yet?? Plz help...
