Now you seem to be trolling. No one can confirm your report. In fact they are confirming the opposite. Now you almost seem to be trying to talk people into why it should be true. I'll answer you question then I won't be viewint this thread again. 1) Not everyone wants a different OS. A better version of the OS they use... sure. Different... not everyone. 2) Faster Processor.... How fast would a electric chair need to electrocute its occupant to be effective? If your not using the OS... what does it matter how fast it is, or what it looks like? 3) Why not replace the TP2? Gee I dunno, cus you've got a proven seller? Cus VZW is a business? Cus it would be silly? I've often wondered why Dominos still sells pizzas. If they sold cookies I'd bet they'd sell less and not have nearly the problem delivering them? |

Considering the thread title is " TP2 Being replaced by the Imagio" I believe I was referring to the Imagio. FYI the Droid is running Android 2.0, not Winmo. Big difference there. Personally I don't care for the Droids looks. |
Re: TP2 Being replaced by the Imagio
Honestly I've yet to have a problem with Verizon. I've been with them since I went Active duty army in 2002. They are always courteous and take care of my issues. Now if I expect every person in the company to have the same information than I'm just fooling myself. You've got a very large company, largest cell provider in the US, so imagine how many employees they have. The interoffice memo's may just not make it to everyone at the same time. Heck my company in the Army will sometimes be so disjointed with people hearing different things and putting different information that it can get ridicules, and this is only 44 people. I mean really, nothing ever works perfect, just apply a fair amount of logic and patience.

Re: TP2 Being replaced by the Imagio
I was in the Verizon store yesterday and asked to see an Imagio. The salesperson showed me the one they had on the floor complete with all the sales information sitting next to a Samsung Rogue.
The TP2 was still on the VZNavigator display with absolutely no information telling customers what it was. I asked the salesperson helping why the TP2 was sitting there without any information and he told me it was because they don't have any sales information on it, nor do they have any in stock due to the overwhelming strong sales via telesales. I don't think this phone is going anywhere because not everyone cares to switch or learn another OS after customizing thier phones to work for them. |

I have an Imagio and a TP2 in Western PA... that is the Eastern USA. The TP2 is 1.5 weeks old, the Imagio 1 week. Both ordered via the Verizon website using OUR zipcode to find the stock and place the order. Period. |
Re: TP2 Being replaced by the Imagio
I just got my second Touch Pro 2 today. First one manufactured on September 1st, the second one manufactured on October 2nd. So, somebody seems to still be making them!:dontknow:

Re: TP2 Being replaced by the Imagio
I love the fact that it is in such demand. I love my TP2, but I'm jumping ship for the Droid/Shoals (was going back and forth between buying the TP2 and waiting; couldn't resist the TP2) just because I'm curious about the whole Android phenomenon.
I still have 4 days left on eBay with my TP2, and I can't believe what they are going for right now. I'll be getting the Droid for full retail and still be eligible for NE2/upgrade on my main line next summer... |

I'm not trying to post this as fact, simply asking if Verizon is keeping up with their "A+ customer service training" and just telling users whatever they can to make a sale. |
