DIY TVout cable: clarify (tp2) instructions/help

so for the last week i been reading about the DIY tvout cable found across xda forum and touch pro threads. i found about 4 different ways using all different parts. i picked the best 1 for me w/ the parts i have.

(and YES i own a $350+ tp2 and am 2 POOR 2 buy the oem cable found 4 $20-25) times are rough, give me a break.

way1:this is the 1 i used uses your ear plugs w/ the extusb & rca cable

way2:this way would be ideal, but read it wont work on tp2!?? uses touch pro dongle & ipod 3.5mm av cable + reg. hack

so i followed way1 to the letter and it still didnt work for me. i know the cable isnt being reconized by headset b/c when i plug it in, the headset icon in taskbar doesnt appear (pulled pin4) but it isnt being reconized by video either. i go to setting/tv out and a window pops up saying you need tv out cable. can any1 help me problem solve this?

the best way, i think (BESIDES BUY OEM), is to use ipod av to 3.5mm + reg. hack. can any1 report if this worked 4 u? or if any1 can find a solution to make this work for the tp2?
