Music not found
 

I used windows media player to send music to the storage card on my TP2... but the music thing doesn't see it... neither does WMP.... is it supposed to be in a certain folder or settings to change so it notices them??

Open up Windows Media on your phone. You should see a screen that says Library, with some choices, my music, mu videos, etc. On the bottom, click the Menu button. From the dialogue box, select "Update Library". This should then have the phone read the new music files. Once the files have been read, you should be able to choose them form the Library screeen.

just sits there and says searching.. has for like 10 min now

I've always just dragged and dropped the tracks from my PC to my devices storage card through Windows file explorer on the PC. Never had any issues with it finding the music that way.

Is it a new storage card and di you format it on the phone first?

open file explorer then go to your storage card and open the folder named MSMETADATA and delete the file named XMEMediaLibrary, then Update Library again
