Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
Now I love my Touch pro 2 but while having it I can just imagine how good a True touch pro 3 (HD2 w keyboard) would be the perfect device. Why is Htc not understanding that the market does like and does not like. I Now want a TP3 with a bigger screen. I know im being greedy the tp2 just came out but I have mine almost a month and i just seen a mock hd2. So a tp3 or hd2 with a keyboard would be perfect. What does everyone else think

Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
I don't kno what to think anymore with them saying a US release of the HD2 in Q1 of 2010....this would be the fastest an HTC device made it to the states. I just have my fingers crossed that the rumor sprint is getting it is true. I can careless if they release a keyboard version (TP3) at this point. That screen is wonderful.

Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
I think Touch Pro2 is a business phone and HD2 is a consumer phone. Its main purposes is to share customer with iPhone, so HTC won't attach a keyboard with it. I'm waiting for the next generation of mobile device with new 30nm technology and nVIDIA graphic chip set, finger-printing integration, WiMax support...

i agree with that. id like to see the snapdragon processor in a tp2 sized device. the tp2 is about as big of a phone as id want to carry in my pants pocket all day everyday. |
Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
it appears that the HD2 will be coming to T-Mobile...

Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
I'm with most here....if they release it with a keyboard then I will be all over it. Until then, I can't deal with just a touch screen keyboard.

Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
id definantly take the insides as long as they kept the phone this size or maybe a 3.8 or maybe even a 4" screen, but 4.3 is just beyond humungo.... its huge without a keyboard, i could only imagine with, we would literaly have to cary special phone purses...
give me the insides, leave me this shellll....... well leave the battery also that shlty 1230 mah battery, i dont see how 270 mah less than the pro2 on a massive capacitive screen like that will hold on battery life, cause thats a huge factor for me and a huge upgrade from the pro1.......... |
Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
I don't know... I really like that phone. But I really like my plan with Spirnt. I couldn't leave just for a phone. I love the tp2 and I would be willing to stay with Sprint and wait for the next big thing. I can't believe I am saying that. I'm of first kid on the block mentality.

Rumor or Fact? Leo/HD2 is Sprint Adonis?
Only time will tell. PPCGeeks user boredmug has reported that a Sprint Rep (of unknown status or position) said the HTC Leo/HD2 will be called the Sprint Adonis and will be released around Christmas time. This doesn’t appear to have been reported anywhere else since all links point back to PPCGeeks, but if the rumor is true, this is great news since the Leo appears to be one of the most sought after phones coming out. With T-Mobile rumored to be releasing it, this would be a great move for Sprint and could possibly pull people away from the Verizon Wireless Imagio. We can only wait and hope. http://www.ppcgeeks.com/2009/10/14/r...sprint-adonis/ |
Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
I think HTC should do a form factor like the Treo Pro minus the plastic keypad.
The HTC Dash is not it. |

Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
It's just like Intel and AMD processors. We could have had 6+ GHz procs years ago, but there's a ton of money to be made by also selling 3, 4, ad 5GHz procs. The ability to give the market something better is already there. But why go from A straight to E when there's all that money to be made in B, C, and D. If you're really estitute you'll notice this business model in just about every industry in some way. Example, the 2004 Nissan Altima didn't have folding side mirrors....the 2005 does. They held off on the mirrors so they would have one more "NEW" item to add to the new model window sticker thus making it look like a better car. Previous generaltions of Altimas had folding mirrors.
In short....every combination of phone will be done before the perfect model sees the light of day. |
Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
i really would like to see what the tp3 would look like. Even though I wish better, i'm pretty sure they will not give it a bigger screen, but instead maybe a faster processor and updated tf3d (2.5? 3.0?) possibly a better camera.
They keep the HD with a bigger screen to make people choose. i think it increases sales too. |
Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
a sprint tech that works for corp cust. just told me that hd2 is coming to sprint the week of christmas and a tp3 based off the hd2 with wm 7 is coming in april it has all the goodies of hd2 with better battery and a sliding keyboard and a 4.3" screen Im surprised none of this info has leaked yet.
Disclaimer: I know all the haters are going to say what ever this info is made up and what not but im telling you this is going to happen. |
Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
I LOVE my TP2 (with Mighty ROM) but if I could buy a phone with a bigger capacitive screen I would buy it tomorrow. I really love the way the screen on my ipod touch reacts & zooms & I really want the biggest screen I can get.
I could care less about the hardware KB, I never use it anyway (I use TouchPal 3.5 with T+ which is WAY faster than typing on any hardware KB) ~John |

Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
I definitely need a keyboard and i would not buy a hd2 with keyboard, it would be way too big. tp2 is the biggest a phone should be. hd2 is bigger but with no keyboard that makes up for it. hd2 with keyboard might as well be a netbook. i would either take tp2 with capacitive screen or hd2. hd2 with keyboard is totally out of the question.

Verizon mentioned that they are going to charge Business customers more for data if they user their phone for business because it's a consumer class phone, WHAT?! Consumer: One that consumes, especially one that acquires goods or services for direct use or ownership rather than for resale or use in production and manufacturing. |

You guys are dreaming. GSM models always come 6-9 months ahead of CDMA models. We won't see an HD2 (or anything close) on Sprint or Verizon until Aug 2010 at the earliest. If it was coming xmas this year you would see info published on it with FCC by now. |

Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
a keyboard on hd2 would work, maybe they could put the keyboard in the middle, have a dpad to the left of it and some gaming buttons to the right?

Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
i would get the HD2 as soon as it came out with no keyboard or with... on what ever network
i like the screen size, i like the speed.... over all a good phone... i hope it comes out for sprint but from what i have seen Tmobile will get it 1st i dont know why anyone other carrier wouldnt want to carry the phone. |

We need a TP2 replacement with HD2 specs.
I refuse to buy a phone without a keyboard. |

As for changing carriers for a phone... It seems like 2 year contracts (even 3 years for a free Palm Pre) it too long of a commitment. Here are my reasons as to why i will wait for a TP3 or a HD (w/ keyboard) on a Sprint Network. 1. Sero Plan ($30 + $7 Total Equip. Protection) is unbeatable. 2. EVDO > 3G (AT&T and T-Mobile) in terms of reliability and speed. (At least in the LA Area) 3. Mostly likely, within 6 months, a better HTC phone will surface that will make u drool all over again. My 2 cents. |
Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
In my opinion the HD2 w/ a keyboard isn't enough of an upgrade for me.
i want a 4.3" 720p screen w/ a 1.5ghz snapdragon (or tegra II preferably) w/ a gig of ram! :) and of course a keyboard. :laughing3::laughing3::laughing3::laughing3::laugh ing3::laughing3::laughing3: (I'm not holding my breath lol) |
Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
tp2 with capacitative touch screen, multitouch, with snap dragon processor and slimmer would be fine.
|
Re: Now I love my TP2 but if HD2 came with a keyboard as TP3
The new specs leaked for the US HD2 are enough for me, I'd live without the keyboard.
Plan on T-Mob is ok, I never go far from home so coverage is fine for me. Once it's here, anybody want to buy a TP2? |
