For Opera 9.7 you will find the file in opera browser/pofiles/opera.ini.

If you edit the Opera.ini file in Windows/Opera9 and place it back in and soft reset your settings should stick.
I have made other various improvement tweaks that are not listed in the first post. What you can do is make a backup of your current config file, then install my .cab. If for some reason you dont like it just replace it with your old one. The uninstall should work too.

The reason that the new settings are not 'sticking' is that closing opera with the x in the upper right corner is effectively canceling the changes you just made. You have to close opera through the menu in the lower right of the screen. I found this out after repeated attempts at modifying the settings and having them not stay when I reloaded opera.

What you can do is backup everything with SPB backup, Hard reset, copy your whole Opera9 folder and save to storage card. Run the restore backup, replace that Opera9 folder with the stock one you saved.

Yes some of us actually use the sprint homepage.
You have to wonder if that page doesn't work what other pages won't work either, and you won't find out until you really need that page.

I put the file for 9.7 in program folders , but no change at all ? should i put in the windows directory , as 9.7 is my default browser and I do not have 9.5 ?

You will need to find where the Opera.ini file is located within the 9.7 programs folder and replace it with the opera.ini file from first post.

I am running 9.7 version 35461 ( the fastest build and hardware zoombar enabled) and I did not find this file under profiles ! ! !

You may need to use a file explorer like Resco, and enable full file views to see the file. Or look at the programs file on your pc using activesync.

that is what I am doing , using resco ! anyway I am changing the registery using your settings ! thanks anyway , I know I am using a different opera version , the European version.

I just installed opera 9.7, and I definitely see the opera file in my program files/Opera mobile/PROFILE/opera. Just drop the file in there and see what happens.
