It always helps a conversation when both parties keep the context of what is being said :) I thought my comments on the VZW sales process were fairly clear but you commented as if I had said something totally different. No hard feelings, just pointing out that sometimes we need to read before we respond... It makes the conversation much more coherent and meaningful.

Does yourt VZW rep attempt to push BB devices? How many people at your company have BB devices and do you use Exchange Server?

so did anybody confirm that this is for sure happening, or is it just a rumor. There seem to be an awful lot of threads about it. Which really makes no sense IMO. But what do I know?

is the 199 price online only , so if i had it ordered from a store would it be 299?

This was my though as well. But it seems to be gaining traction. That is the only reason I asked. I already mine, so it matters not to me. Just curious as to why they would do this. (Assuming it were true, which I personally doubt it is.)

It will be 299 if you let them give you the mail in rebate. If they quote the 299 price ask them for the internet price match. I don't know they can do it from the stores, but if call telesales you should be able to get the instant rebate.

I thought this was already discussed on another thread I posted on. I (VZW Tech Rep Call Center) went into work and confirmed officially that the phone IS still available and will continue to sell. an earlier post stated that its being held for the 6.5 update. this is partially true but due to demand shipments to warehouses are still going with the 6.1 software. 30 WFG is being extended for those that are having device issues and dont want to accept imagios.

This rumor started with an email that was sent to the retail/store locations stating the device has contrained inventory and to offer the imagio as an ALTERNATIVE. some brilliant store reps/managers thought this meant the device was being discontinued (though the touch pro1 is whats discontinued) and started telling people we would only sale the Imagio which is incorrect.

If you dont have a TP2 then wait for the new devices to get in and check inventory daily. if you have issues with your tp2 and need replacement then have a rep follow up for when shipment comes in. Preferably talk to a TECH REP via call center for alittle more accurate information as we would get the news before the stores and cs reps may be mis-informed.
