The sticky didn't help me at all.

I had to disable CM Guardian with a task manager software first, then installed old Internet fix, and a USB pop up.

Here you go. Found out how to upload them lol.

1. Disable CM Guardian w/ a task manager, reboot.

2. Install Internet sharing fix, reboot.

3. Install HTCUSBTo PC POP Up. reboot.

Hope it works for ya. It did for me.

Did you want to wirelessly tether internet from your phone to your comp (as in making your phone into a wireless router)?
Or did you want to do it via bluetooth/usb?

To wirelessly tether internet use HTC's wifi router cab found here:

http://rapidshare.com/files/26045295...haring_VGA.cab

Just copy the .cab into your phone/storage card and then go to file explorer on your phone and open the .cab

Follow the instructions and after installation, open the program.
It's pretty straight forward from there. Exactly the same as connecting your computer to a wifi network.

Thanks. Why aren't stuff like this being stickied.

I don't know about you guys, but I highly prefer the wmwifirouter, or HTCwifirouter. The only advantage of actually hooking up your phone as internet connection with a usb cable, is that it gives you a new i.p. address every single time you re-connect. So that is good if you need to go to websites where you do not want your i.p. address tracked.

Yes, only free. Works very well!

can verizon tell if you are using it either tethered or as a wifi router and sharing the connection? is there something that has to be edited in the reg to hide such functionality from them? i have wanted to try this but haven't specifically heard if this is hidden from verizon or not

For Sprint you will need to have PAM (Phone as Modem) from now on. They are really pushing their wireless cards (which are free with the service) and the 15$ monthly charge for 3g (29.95$ 4g in supported areas). A lot of people were able to use PAM until recently they have been auditing them and stopping that acess.

I haven't seen one person who were actually audited and charged.

Auditing and charged? I thought they dont care if you have the unlimited plan.

If the program tethers your computer as a "modem" then yes. If the program tethers your computer as "data" then no.
