Re: Bounty for working MS Bluetooth stack on TP2

well i will put in US$10.00 in the pot for a working Bluetooth solution so i can pair and stay paired and listen to music via Bluetooth from my TP2 with my 2 JVC car stereos (KD-BT1 & KD-BT11)

What is the voice quality like when speaking through your Icon? I picked up one yesterday, and am very disappointed thus far. My voice sounds tinny, muffled, and breaks in and out. I've tried the different ear pieces, switched left to right ear, etc. I am ready to return it and try a different one, hoping this one may just be defective.

Thank you

What a disappointment.. love the TP2..but not having audio on the Bluetooth car radio working kinda has me thinking hat installing a bluetooth car stereo was not such a good move!! lol....

Thanks for anyone with an idea to solve this problem!!!

Funny, I'm having precisely the opposite problem w/ a JVC KW-AVX820; the audio works great, but the headset drops immediately when I try to make a call, or receive a call.

Re: Bounty for working MS Bluetooth stack on TP2

I had the problem that music would play beautifully over bluetooth, but the connection would cut out when making a call. I have a JVC KD-HDR30

I tried many different ROMs but recently discovered that if I DISABLE THE DATA it works perfectly!

When not coupled to bluetooth, the phone can receive or dial out calls without problem, irrespective of the data

Only when the phone is paired to the bluetooth, the data must be shut off entirely. I downloaded a program called "nodata.cab" which ensures that the data is disabled when I drive.

I'm not sure if the problems of others could be helped by disabling data when using bluetooth, but it has been a big improvement in my life.

I disabled the data via HD Tweak, but it didn't solve anything.

I did come up with a workaround solution: I deleted the stereo audio profile after pairing the devices, and now the hands free works as it should.
Of course then I can't stream audio via bluetooth, but I can live with it for now.
Now if only I could get the phone book transfer to work....ugh.

Dunno if ya'll are aware, but the new Verizon ROM fixes the Bluetooth issue. The problem is that now I'm stuck with a stock ROM again until someone incorporates this fixed stack into their ROM.

let me get this straight...VZW released the phone w/ 6.5, and now they're releasing an update to that stock 6.5 rom to fix a known problem?

wtf is wrong with Sprint?
If not for SERO, I'd switch.

Does M$ Voice Command announce incoming calls?
Does MobileSrc MobileRemote work now?

Some things may be fixed, but not all. It still has a Widcomm BT stack.
I do believe we still would prefer a M$ BT stack.

Sprint's 6.5 update will have Manila 2.5

I wish Voice Command would announce the incoming calls. It was useful on my Touch Pro but this feature is lacking in the Touch Pro 2.
I didn't know it was the bad stack until reading this thread. I hope the problem gets fixed.
