My TP2 keeps disconnecting from my BT deck. A F-700bt in my truck. Pisses me off.

I just purchased Sony BT101 earphones. The seem to mostly work except for the audio controls. Just curious, do BT Controls (AVRCP) work for people with other stereo headsets? Is it my headset or the BT stack that is the problem. When I press the play/pause button, the following message pops up:

" the connected bluetooth headset does not support volume adjustment from the device ..."

Re: Bounty for working MS Bluetooth stack on TP2

I'm in to add $20 to the POT if someone fixes the bluetooth.. here are my issues (SPRINT TP2):

1. doesnt connect 90% of the time correctly to my GARMUN NUVI 760 with bluetooth speakerphone. It doesnt read the phone book 100% correct, doesnt hangup and 98% of the time someone calls and it starts to ring the speakerphone on the NUVI and then stops and freezes up and I miss the call.

2. does not hang up on any bluetooth earpiece I have.

I had a TREO 800W (SPRINT) and had none of these issues.

Lets get this fixed!

Here are some REG fixes to get the bluetooth working better.. this worked for me 95% ... BUT there is now a phone lag after being connected to the bluetooth device.. disconnecting the bluetooth speeds up the phone. If someone can figure out what is causing this I would love to know...

1. Modify the HandsFree plug-in:
HKLM\Software\WIDCOMM\Plugin\HandsFree
i. Change SupportedFeatures to 45 (default is 1135)
ii. Add value HFBDA binary, set to same value as LastConnectedBda
iii. Add value HFDeviceType decimal 2

2. Modify the WIDCOMM bluetooth general settings:
HKLM\Software\WIDCOMM\BtConfig\General
i. Change bdaddr to (no value)
ii. Change DisableReopenAudio to 0 (default is 1)

FWIW, the newer bluetooth stacks on the VZW, USCellular, and Calkulin's ROMs work much, much better. Now if only I can get the PAN profile back into the stock VZW ROM

I don't think Voice Command's incoming call announce over BT works with any of them though.

If you've found otherwise, please tell me which Rom it works with.

The TP2 seems slow enough after having the Omnia2 (But I had to go back to buttons) I wouldn't want to make it any slower. I'm using a Jbt8010 headset (stereo capable). I'm not having any problems making or receiving calls with it but it is very intermittant in transmitting the notification from a text message or appointment through the headset. Also, when it does put it through it cust off the first 2.5 seconds of the sound so most of them don't play because the headset doesnt connect in time. Please let me know if there is any fix. THX

This reg change seems to fix the notifications coming through bluetooth.. HOWEVER... it doesnt fix the slowdown/lag that happens after being connected to bluetooth for a while.. any ideas...
