which basically says it works. But newer radios mess it up, so they need to keep tweaking it until it is radio-proof. There is no question as to if, only when.

I am in the same boat. Currently have the Verizon TP2, but still have an open ATT account. I am undecided. I really love the looks of the Verizon phone and keyboard plus the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Coverage in the Twin Cities is similar for both, ATT coverage in my house is better than Verizon, but ATT coverage in northern MN and the North Shore is poor, so I am tending towards Verizon. Other people have commented on CDMA versus GSM. I don't need simultaneous voice/data and I don't need conference call with 5 other people, so that would not be a reason for me to stay with ATT/GSM. Overall, I am pissed with ATT in how they focus on the iPhone only. They restricted HSDPA on the Fuze and it looks like they are doing the same with the Pure and Tilt2. I know a custom ROM will fix this, but it still pisses me off how ATT wants to restrict Windows mobile users to 3G and allow iPhone users to use HSDPA.

i would keep the vzw phone if thats what you got and like the keyboard. the keyboard on the att tp2 version is so stupid. i think its a 4 line keyboard and it doesnt have its own line for numbers

Definitely stick with the Verizon version... I think the keyboard on the AT&T version is poorly designed to say the least.

I just noticed that. There do not appear to be page up and down functions on the keyboard.

oh i was werong. they took the 1st line of keys and made it for symbols. when i probably use numbers more than symbols. way to go att.

That number row missing would seriously kill that for me. I use numbers in passwords and lots of things, that would be a major pain.

Good point, but the OS can always be changed. The keyboard/lack of 3.5mm jack/ability to do cdma AND gsm, can't. To some that may not matter, to others it seems restrictive. Here's a question, have you already tried just unlocking the SIM and plopping your ATT sim in there to see if it works? Why get the ATT one at all? If it's just about custom ROM ability, then it's gonna happen so no worries.
