1) iGuidance
2) GPSGate v2.6 (which is needed on the Mogul to allow iGuidance to work)
3) PDANet
4) SOTI PocketController Pro
5) MusicID

Another thing I'd be worried about is Bluetooth. I've seen a couple of mentions of TP2 Bluetooth problems. My biggest concern would be to make sure that my Motorola stereo BT headset works properly, as I use that for nearly all of my calls.

Well, it turns out that Sprint was faster than I might have expected. I ordered the phone on Thursday at about 5PM, it arrived on Friday at about 2PM. Pretty good service!

Now that I've had it for a few days, I thought it would be helpful if I'd post the answers to my questions above for the next person who came along. So....

1) iGuidance (v4.0) works fine on the TP2. Better, in fact, than it did on the Mogul.
2) I never actually even installed GPSGate, as iGuidance doesn't seem to need it on the TP2.
3) PDANet (v1.8) seems to work fine. In fact, this note is being posted over a PDANet connection.
4) PocketControllerPro (v6.01) works perfectly. Very useful, in fact.
5) MusicID doesn't work at all. But the Samsung Midomi product seems to serve the same need, and it works well (as long as you don't try to exercise its Menu, which causes it to crash).

And the TP2 syncs readily with my Motorola stereo bluetooth headset.

I started a new thread earlier today ("New Owner Questions") about some questions that I still have about the TP2. So far, no one has replied to it. I hope someone will be able to help me with my remaining concerns in the other thread.

Noone ever said that. HTC said they will be bringing it to the US in Q1 of 2010. They didn't say they are making a CDMA version for the US. They will bring a GSM model. Ie no Sprint compatibility.

Hence the "if" in his statement. They didn't say anything regarding the US compatibily at all so we can't rule out a CDMA counterpart. Touch Pro(2), Diamond, Hero and more were GSM in Europe (obviously) and yet they all have CDMA counterparts here in the states. Until I hear otherwise I refuse to give up on the dream that they will continue this tradition with the HD2.

Look at the HTC HD. Which is the one that came before the Leo. No US counterpart, no CDMA counterpart.

Could you point me to a cab file? Maybe your version is newer than mine. My version was pretty dependent on having hardware keys to control it. It installed onto the TP2 OK, but it wasn't really usable. I'd have to reinstall it to tell you the exact symptoms.

Yeah but HTC never said that would come to the US.

Good to know. I use those same headphones when I work out with my 6800.

Is the imagio a CDMA HD? I know it doesn't have the 3.8" screen, but if not, then what is the GSM counterpart to the Imagio? Or is there one?

I don't believe there is a GSM counterpart. It is not the CDMA HD... It's a stand alone device.
