open text still showing as unread

I have had my TP@ for several days now and notice that while in text with someone all text subsaquent to the original comes up as unread alltho I am actually in text with the person once i close the convo mt inbox will show the following text as unread and the only way for me to clear it is to open and close the window for the amount of text sent if 5 are unread i have to open and close that convo 5 times for it to clear , other that deleting the whole message what can i do . and btw wz good with the sim card its a B@!#% to get out and i dont wanna break the door any ideas?!?!
