i ran into a weird problem. when i edited a contact's number, the touchscreen numberpad toggled on automatically but there is no function key or anything to toggle it back to the touchscreen keyboard. please help?

My point is does it actually matter if you're running at 70-80%? If we didn't know & just let windows manage our RAM would we even notice? I think on ppcs from 5+ years it was an issue, but not so much anymore. Windows will just automatically close open programs that are running in the background if you open another program that needs the memory. I actually just uninstalled the HTC task manager & kept the long x press to close programs. I'm going to leave it like this for a while & see if not knowing how much RAM is being used by constantly checking the task manager makes any performace difference that I can notice.

i installed the clean and tweeks on a fresh sprint 6.5 install. after a day or so sense would stop working and i cant get it to turn on. also i cant hit settling at that point.

any tips?

1. The voicecommand to announce caller is on, so go to voicecommand and turn of the notification.
2. Go to taskmanager and buttons tab and choose "X" to close app.
3. Go to Power app (in system menu) and enable "auto-backlight'.. or something.
4. As I do corporate sync, no matter which lock program I use, I get prompted for password (required for corporate sync).

Issues 2 & 3 are fixed- thanms!I checked, and voice command is off-I believe I saw a couple other people saying this happened to them too...the alarm goes off for a beep or two, then again like 30 seconds later. And I triple checked the alarm tone I selected...any suggestins ot updates? As for the 4th issue, well, I really only wanted it on power on but it's the least of my worries. Thanks again!

When I click on the "Today" icon in the Start Menu, it does not take me to Manila's home screen.

Does anyone know how to change this? Thank you in advance

Manually deleted:
nueBatterySettings.exe and nuePowerCPL.cpl from Windows directory
deleted the nueBattery2 Settings.lnk from windows\startmenu

Restored old battery.dll from the backup before installing the tweaks.

Just did all the above. Will keep an eye on the battery usage.

How does one go about just doing your Threaded SMS Enhancement Tweak which increases the lower text window size? I have searched and found nothing. I don't want to use the clean up cab because I am using a custom rom. Thanks in advance.

edit the file thread_sms.html. You can do a search to easily find it...windows directory.look for this part:inbox:content id="COMPOSESUBECT" width="98%" height=35 spell...and play around with the number in height (in this case 35). change to 70 and get 3 lines for text replies. Just change the numbers and see what works for you. *you need to soft reset after editing the file.I don't recall what post I got this from, someone else came up with it so I'm not takin credit. I keep a word document with all the edits I've come across that I sometimes use. GT2L has this included so I havent checked to see if this is still the same for 6.5 as it was for 6.1 (which is the last time I manually did it) I hope that helps.

This is mentioned a few times in this thread (see POST#99). It's expected behavior of the Classic Word Correction and my understanding for a fix is to install the Restore _T9_correction.cab

I haven't actually tried this, so good luck.

I had similar issues as you.
1. Only install either cleanup or tweaks, not both
2. As per your background, change it from the colored bubbles one. Dont ask me why but it did the trick for me.
Under Settings >> All Settings >> Today (I choose Rock and Republic Black)
For some reason that cured 95% of my sense crashes in the beginning...
The tweaks has not worked out for me. Both me and my brother have sprint 6.5 oem and both our phones have same slowness / bugs / memory hogging somewhere. I'm currently running without gt2l tweaks and its been running smoother.

I installed the SMS sent notification cab, AND a program to help modify features (HD Tweak)...My 'Sent Notification' optin is send to Disabled. Yet, I am still getting the notification. Any suggestions? Also, I tried to download an add-on alarm, but that alarm and the factory alarm come up under 'Reminder', make one noise, then shuts itself off- I really need that one fixed. Any ideas on the alarm? Thanks so much guys!

I have a few questions that maybe some of you can answer before GT2L gets back...

1. Is there any way to completely remove the grayed-out icons cluttering up my home screen? I prefer a clean look (so I can see my custom wallpaper photo) but after deleting the links, the boxes are still there and grayed out. I even flip the clock upward to get rid of the clunky old-school flip clock... Options for clock types would be nice too.

2. How to turn OFF the annoying "screen wake on incoming text" feature. We can turn off screen wake for emails, but not texts. I prefer the sound of a text only, followed by a blinking LED. Getting a text while the phone in in-pocket results in a variety of unintended screen presses.

3. How to check to be SURE that tethering mode is indeed "Stealth"? I would hate to find out at the next billing cycle that my laptop tethering created $500 in fees...

One more problem -

Now that I installed the tweaks, I no longer get the choice of Active Sync or Disk Drive option when connecting a USB cable to the PC.

I want to add more cabs but now I can't get to the phone's SD card through my PC...

What happened there...?

It was just set to not prompt you. Goto settings, all settings, connections folder, USB to PC, and you can have it ask what you want or set different default.

It works fine for me.

Go to All settings the Personal, then "Input", go to options and choose whether you want "Typing sound", "Vibrate", "Spell Correction", "Word Completion, etc.,

First time reader and poster here, keen to learn a little more about my phone.

Recently purchased a brand-new TP2 from a local shop here in Australia using the Vodafone network, and before I go ahead and run any cleanup stuff on the phone, I'd like to know how I can tell which version of the cleanup tool to use.

I've noticed there is a tool for Sprint and a few others, but I've got no idea which to use on my phone (locally delivered/sold rather than imported from the USA), as I don't want to brick the phone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

there are only two versions available, one for sprint and one for verizon. your carrier is not supported.

Thank you so much for this! I upgraded my tp2 with the Sprint cab on the first day it was released, and have since been trying to get it to where I like it again. I did so much to it, that I was having problems even answering the phone. I just read your thread today and realize why (Advanced Config).... Anyway, after a hard-reset today, I installed your cleanup, tweaks, & extra cabs, and am finally happy again...THANK YOU!!!

Also: The font pack sounds good, but I can't figure out how to change the fonts now... Where do I go to change the fonts?

Is there something I missed?
I hard reset, installed the cleanup cab.
Everything is great except for 2 things
1: All my sounds come thru my bluetooth headset. And it's not a stereo set. Music, text alerts etc..
2: my SIP (virtual keyboard) is suck on phone pad. I absolutely have to use the physical keyboard now.

For the BT, goto settings, all settings, bluetooth, then click the gears on top left. Then under Advanced, there is an Audio, Uncheck the box to not play system sounds through headset.

Don't understand the SIP issue.

First of all I love your cleanup cab. Every time I hard reset the first thing I do is install the cleanup cab.


I have only one problem with the cleanup cab. After hard reseting the phone and then installing the cleanup cab I get the following problem.

When using Sprint Radio or the built in HTC video player the sounds will not play over the speaker on the phone. When I start a movie or select a radio station the sound plays for a split second then stops. However, the built in Youtube player works just fine over the phone speakers. To watch a movie with the HTC player or listen to music on Sprint Radio I have to use my bluetooth stereo headphones. That isn't a big problem as I normally use my bluetooth headphones when I watch a movie or listen to music, except that I can no longer plug in my phone to my car and listen to the music while driving as it will also not play over the headphone jack.

I am looking forward to your newest update and I want to thank you again for "fixing" the Touch Pro 2. =D>


Another small problem is that the on screen keyboard does not have a space bar anymore. No matter what keyboard layout I choose.

I had the same problem. I just did a hard reset and I have not installed either the tweaks or cleanup. I'm waiting until he gets back to see if the problem gets addressed.

There must be a tab to de-select the local weather and I can't find it!

When I pull the file and try to open it there is nothing there? I have even unchecked the hidden and system attribute. I have tried transferring it to the computer and nothing. What do I use to edit the file?

Don't click on the "option" tab, click on the "option" button below the "Input method".
- Turn off vibration and it stop vibration on key press.

It's left out because altering the value seems to cause Sense UI to crash. No idea why.

They most certainly do NOT contain viruses! First of all, TrendMicro has TERRIBLE detection rates and is very commonly known for false positives. Second, what possible benefit is there to scan something compiled for use on an ARM processor with a Intel-based antivirus scanner?

You're in the wrong place. I have never and will never support use with a custom ROM.

I'll remove the driver from the Verizon version due to the conflicts.

Interesting hypothesis... I'll be testing the next couple days, but my experience the past week on vacation has told me that it will creep up to 80%, stay there, and completely bog down the device. I am nearly fed up with Sense UI for the same reasons I have hated TF3D.
