Problems with contacts

Hey all, new touch pro 2 owner here.

I have my TP2 set up to check hotmail and it is also set up to check gmail. My gmail is set up as an outlook account and my gmail contacts are synced with my phone. I like this and am pretty happy with this bit. The problem is, my phone insists on syncing my hotmail contacts as well. This leaves me with duplicate contact list entries and I'd prefer to have just one contact list synced.

No matter how hard I try, if I have my phone set to check my hotmail account, it syncs the contacts. When I look at the settings for the hotmail account, the sync contacts box is checked and greyed out (so I cannot uncheck it). It seems my only choices are to have hotmail along with synced contacts or have no hotmail at all (I finally found a reg setting that would allow me to remove hotmail).

I searched everywhere and surprisingly found nothing about this? Am I the only one or do my search skills need work?

Re: Problems with contacts

I don't have a solution but I can relate. When I received my TP2, I synced with outlook, Hotmail and then took it to Verizon to have my old phone book transfered. I have ALLOT of contacts in my phone now and some of them merged so I don't know if half of them are correct. I've been sitting at the computer trying to get outlook straight, live straight and my phone straight.
