It can be done but the tricky part is actually getting them to add the ESN to their inventory.

yea some guy on ebay says he could do it for like $100 or something, problem is, if something gets screwed up, how is it going to get fixed? thats why I like having it on metro, because more then one source could flash the phone.

Re: First Touch Pro2 on MetroPCS!

I am considering purchasing a TP2 for use on the Metro PCS network and I have questions:
  • Does IMAP work on Metro PCS? Are there any special steps to take to make it work?
  • What is the best option for purchasing a new TP2 (Sprint, VZ, Unlocked Retail, etc)?
  • Will Metro PCS 'insure' the TP2 or can I get third party 'insurance' for the phone if it breaks/gets stolen/whatever?

Thanks!

yea, imap worked for my customer, verizon is easier because the msl is already six zero's, but performance they are the same, they will insure the tp2, but if you f*ck it up, they send you a finesse(after a $85 deductible)

{replying to my own previous post}

I just found a site called safeware that offers coverage for the HTC TP2... not sure if I can post a link here or not...

Quote:

Covering: Verizon HTC Touch Pro2 ($490)
Total Coverage Amount: $490.00
Coverage Area: Domestic
Policy Term: 1 Year
Deductible: $50.00
1 Year Premium: $74.00
1 Year Municipal Tax: $0.00
1 Year State Tax: $0.74
Policy Fees: $0.00
This works out to about $6.17 per month, 3 years is about $2 cheaper per year.

I just sent them a message asking if they'll cover the phone even if it's not active with a carrier on their list (Verizon, Sprint)... I'll post back here when I get a reply from them.

Yeah Metro makes this much easier than others. Quick question, I'm having an issue with email push. It will sync on the initial setup but after that it seems to lose its ability to sync again. Any ideas or am I missing something. BTW I'm using Mightyrom.:confused1:
