I routinely take pictures that I have snapped with my phone and move them over to my laptop (17" monitor) for viewing, fixing, and for sending to various family members/friends.

So no, my perception that the TP1 took better pictures than the TP2 is not simply because they are larger on the TP2 screen making them easier to see the flaws. This is comparing them on equal ground, and is both my opinion, and my wife's who instantly commented on how grainy and faded some outdoor shots were with the TP2, and how nice some comparative shots were from the TP1. On the same display.

The darker colors look washed out and show a very high level of digital noise or graininess, and the whites are overblown.
