Error Notifcation popup: Cannot connect to network
My phone has done this before, and I don't know what I did to make it start or end. And now its doing it again. While my phone is in sleep mode, when I hit the power button there is a error notification that says it cannot connect to network. Check connection settings, yada yada... #777. This has to be the data connection, but I don't know why I'm getting it. My signal is good, and I have it set where it can roam if needed. If I'm using my phone and it has to switch from 1X to EV, I don't get this. It seems like it only happens when the phone is alseep. I'm with sprint.
THe only this I can remotely think of is that I put the phone from global to CDMA the other day because I was getting a weak EV signal and while a set it to roam only, I went ahead and put it from global to cdma. So right now, I have it back to global and Automatic EV/Roam. |
Re: Error Notifcation popup: Cannot connect to network
Well, the above didn't fix it. Here is a more accurate statement of what it says:
The title of the notification is Cannot Connect. Under that it says: Dialed: #777. Then under that is the description of couldn't connect for an unknown reason. please check settings....... Anyone? I could be losing the signal some how, but I get 3 bars in my house. So that shouldn't be it. |
Re: Error Notifcation popup: Cannot connect to network
I had this problem but only when the phone was connected to my computer via usb. I could not connect while hooked up to the computer. Unplugged it and it worked fine. Don't know if this helps or not.

Re: Error Notifcation popup: Cannot connect to network
Well, somehow (I think) I must have fixed it again. I just turned the phone completely off. Then turned it back on and it hasn't happened since. CLose to 12hrs now. It's just one of those things that I hate since I dont know what it causing it. Your right, it doesn't seem to hurt anything. Just appears that the phone loses both EV/1X when tryiing to connect to the net. But I don't have anything set to auto. The data connection is off. I'll try to pay more attention if it happens again.
