Re: Bad news: That Sprint Touch Pro 2 price cut? Not happening.
Spring called me last night around 9:30pm, and the gentleman credited my account the $150, he also applied the $100 mail in rebate because I used my wifes line to renew my phone but transferred it to my phone instead.
On top of that, I was at my friends house who recently switched from T-Mobile, after he was done with me I told him she was in the same boat and purchased a Touch Pro 2. He asked to speak with her, and commented her account so that when she gets her first bill he will call her back and adjust her account $150 to match Verizon's price. Thank you sprint! oh, I am on Sero $30, and she is on the referral for $59.99. |

Re: Bad news: That Sprint Touch Pro 2 price cut? Not happening.
I am not on a corporate lines and I just got the price of mine knocked down to $199.
The Touch Pro 2 has been charged $449.99 on your account. I have applied the credit of $150.00 on your account. The balance will be updated within 04 hours on your account. To receive the mail in rebate of $100.00, it is required to submit the mail in rebate form within 30 days of the handset activation date. Please fill up that form and mail it to the address mentioned on the form. It will take 8-14 weeks to process after it is received. You will receive a check of $50.00 at your mailing address. So at the end the Touch Pro 2 will be charged you $199.99. If you have any other question, simply reply to this email. |

Re: Sprints matches Big reds TP2 price!
Bump because I want as many people to be awarded the price match as possible. If you don't like the answer they give you just call back.
In my case I had to call a few times too. I called once a few days after purchasing my phone and was denied the $199 price match. This was about a week before Mayonesa's thread came into existence. What retentions DID do was give me a $50 credit and their "pick 3 landlines" offer. The day this thread was created I called back Sprint and asked for the price match and was denied. I then contacted them through the online chat and was told I WOULD receive it if I called back. Then I called CS again and they denied me. LOL They transferred me to retentions and the guy took about five minutes to review my case notes. Then came back and said I'd have the match in 72 hours - no questions asked. Well, this was on 9/29. This morning I called back and got retentions on the line to verify it. They told me that the credit had passed through their auditing department and went all the way up to VP level before it was approved - but - it IS approved and will appear on my account on Monday. They are sending me an email to verify it. Perseverance goes a long way with Sprint. In the end I got $200 knocked off the price. I don't agree that they make people jump through hoops to get decent offers. The end result is satisfactory though. |

Re: Bad news: That Sprint Touch Pro 2 price cut? Not happening.
well, sorry to hear that because after several hours(yes hours ) and wrangling with the different people(some nice, some total jerks) I definitely got mine reduced to 199.95 (due to verizon price, which the manager I was speaking with looked at the link while on the phone with me to verify, and I do not want to mislead anyone but due to my inconvenience and the way i was treated by a few of the "account services" supervisors(specifically the ones in New York) , he also gave me the 100.00 mail inrebate instantly. They will try to hold the company line , but people are in fact, getting the phone for a bottom line 199.95 after upgrade and rebate .Keep in mind, however, that they will most likely reduce the price with account credit, not a true price reduction. I didn't mind as it all ends up the same bill anyway. They just cannot go around dropping the price unless they have a lower price from HTC I would imagine. As people have previously stated in other threads, you really are just getting lucky if you find a rep/mgr who decides to work with you on this but I imagine more are prone not to do this. In most cases, be prepared for a lengthy, headache inducing experience which ultimately may not be worth the money you save. FYI, I also had a few reps/mgrs that had said they would issue me credits to get the price down, but they never materialized and I had to follow up several times, which is incredibly hard to do with Sprint since it is almost impossible to get same person/area again. Good luck , if you try to get this done, and if you do, I hope it happens early rather than after many headaches and misinformation. I definitely think your best shot will be through account services , but I might suggest a route not many mention which is Finance Escalation. Happy hunting.
