rdcrds - Have evidence to support your claim, be respectful towards other members, or get out of this thread. Just because the rep claimed the discount applied to a personal account does NOT mean it's fake. She could have misinterpreted the price change notice.

dogden - Drop the argument. Everyone is on your side. I don't want to see you reprimanded over such a foolish situation.

---ON TOPIC---

I called again today to renew my contract/upgrade. They still won't give me the $199. I have a business registered in my name with minimal assets (just there in case I want to start my own business) so I'm going to see if I can purchase it with the Tax ID. I'll post back.

Been telling you that for days but the TROLLS keep posting fake e-mails from ecare that the price is being slashed and this that and the other.

We have 3 threads going about the same thing and it has been said even before these threads.Yo call and if no luck hang up and call again till you get lucky then move on but this does not move on LOL.

My intent was merely to share my good fortune and let others know that it IS possible to get the reduced price using honey as bait instead of vinegar.

Please do not involve me in any cyber arguments. I feel the only thing more foolish than flame wars is the participants.

After being hung up on and told that I did not know what I was talking about, I finally spoke to someone in Customer care who confirmed that Sprint is price matching Verizons TP2 cost of 199.99. I was then told that I would have to speak to someone in Telesales, I then asked that they makes notes of our conversation pointing out the cost. Once tranfered and 15 minutes later, I was charged 249.99 after tax and expedited shipping (Next day air) for my TP2.

HOLY CRAPOLA! I talked to a representative a bit ago and she knew her stuff! A little too well! She said Sprint has been receiving so many calls regarding this. She said the whole thing was a rumor that started on an online forum... I asked what forum and she said, "It was a pda forum called ppcgeeks." I'm getting the worst luck with my reps!

I'm on hold right now with a lady that's checking on the business price for me... I'm trying to use my tax ID for the discount but they say I need to make a business account. GRR!

I'll ask her if the price of the Touch Pro 2 is $199 though.

any chance you guys/gals successfully purchasing the phone did it for existing Sero plan accounts? thanks :salute:

Nope, I have a very old plan (free incoming 300) and ordered it just fine
(took my other pro2 back last week because of a defective 3.5mm headphones jack)
