Re: Is there a screen "lock"?
I too use PocketShield. I think the trial was just a little buggy but not so that I didn;t go ahead and purchase the product. After I registered it works well.
So 2 thumbs up for Pocket shield 1 Thumb down for HTC (VZW and Sprint) for not doing a better job with ScreenLock ! I didn;t have to have an addnl Program for my TyTNII (Tilt) ??? |
Re: Is there a screen "lock"?
has anyone found a way to make the stock lock engage when the backlight button is pressed and backlight goes off?

Re: Is there a screen "lock"?
Another +1 for PocketShield. And they are very responsive on their forum. I was able to get help in setting up a registry value to have my device auto-unlock when I open my keyboard. Really nice program, and less than $15 in cost. Well worth the price to keep from making those embarrassing "butt" calls.

Re: Is there a screen "lock"?
So...when I lock the phone it will dim the screen 100% with this tool? Now I have to hit Lock then dim the screen 100% by hitting a button on the top of the phone, then to unlock I have to hit the screen saver button and do 2 unlocks on the screen. its a PIA. I want a simple lock unlock slider like the iphone( yes I did own one) Great phone ATT su%cks.

Best $10 I ever spent. Kept getting the alignment screen popping up in the case. Not an issue anymore. |
Re: Is there a screen "lock"?
S2U2 is very good for this, and free.

Re: Is there a screen "lock"?
I would vote for Pocket Shield as well. I bought it, but it seems to have a bug with the device reverting to portrait if it falls asleep while in landscape. It's not a big deal, but it is a minor annoyance to have to close/reopen the keyboard to get the screen correct.
