Re: Multi-select in File Explorer?
You can, if you swap to regular keyboard and not QWERTY and use the CTRL key or Shift key

Re: Multi-select in File Explorer?
Right (It's actually the Shift Key), but I'm referring to using the touch screen to touch select/drag.

Re: Multi-select in File Explorer?
Shift key is for direct drag ina row, ctrl is for more customizable selections.
The reason why you cant select is because it was added that by moving down you actually drag down rather then a selection. As this seems to be effecting all programs it is probably a remapping but disabling it may effect the functionality of some programs. |

Re: Multi-select in File Explorer?
You can either find Total Commander and use that instead of the default file explorer...
OR you can try this download the cab...install...then the following menu>>tools>>options>>controls and use double tap activation

Also, the file you provided, is that the Advanced File Explorer extension? Where you can adjust the top tabs, etc..? I like that a lot, but I don't like the menu tree that drops down. I prefer the original File Explorer window tree. |

Re: Multi-select in File Explorer?
yeah...I believe it is the extension...been using that for a couple years instead of TC...kinda gotten used to it.
as for selecting multiple emails and text...think you can go to menu>>select messages and control it that way |

Re: Multi-select in File Explorer?
Multi-select was disabled by MS when they started added their own touch scrolling to newer WM builds.
Add the following key to your registry, and then soft reset to get multi-select back. Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Gestures\Touch] "Disabled"=dword:1 |
