Roaming Problems

I work in an area where the is very little to no signal. My phone constantly seeks out a signal throughout the day. Now, there is a cell repeater which will repeat both GSM and CDMA cell bands, and in fact works on my Verizon phone (as well as an AT&T phone), but for some reason my Touch Pro 2 will not utilize this with Sprint. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

my only suggestion would be sprint's airave. It cost money per month but from what I have heard it works pretty well. The other thing would to flash a different radio but we aren't that far yet with the TP2. Sorry I couldn't help anymore

No problem, I appreciate the suggestion, although I shouldn't have to use the airave. If it relays Verizon (CDMA) and AT&T (GSM) just fine, why not Sprints? And why couldnt I piggy back off of Verizons if not Sprints? Seems strange. Only thing I could think of is if theres a way to force roam..

Do a search for forced roam or forced roaming, there is a thread on how to do it.
Here ya go.... http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...hlight=roaming

There is even a cab in there somewhere near the bottom.

Thanks for the link! I tried this however it does not work. Even on Roaming Only mode it still tries to search for a signal. Very strange..while my Touch Pro 2 is constantly looking for a signal my Verizon BB has 3 bars.

Re: Roaming Problems

BB output more RF power and have a more sensitive receiver many times. That could be some of the difference.
