Frustration with the Backlight Timeout

I've set the Backlight Timeout in the reg and it did in fact seem to work correctly for a couple of days but today it reverted back to timing out every 30 secs. I've checked the reg again and my setting is still as I set it a couple of days ago.

I use Mobile Shell 3 but other than this the rom is pretty stock.

Anyone experience this and find a solution?

You did it in the registry? There is a place to set it, for plugged in and not, under Settings>All Settings>System>Power?Backlight tab. Works fine for me

Re: Frustration with the Backlight Timeout

The problem only seems to occur if you've enabled a Lock timeout. If you don't have your phone lock itself (prompt for a password), then the Advanced backlight Power settings work fine.

Re: Frustration with the Backlight Timeout

Here's the Registry key that is quite often known to work:

So far, it's working for me even with Lock timeout enabled.

Yes, I have set this to all the options and none increases the timeout for the backlight.

That was my original post

I don't use any auto lock functions.

It did work for a few days but something is over riding this setting as well.

I may just do a hard reset and pay closer attention to which proggy is the culprit.

Thanks anyway!

I dont use the PIN lock but I do use the 6.5 SLIDE LOCK.. it wasnt doing this before but just started. I changed the registry key for LockLevel under BACKLIGHT to "0" and it seems to work but then the next day the LockLevel was set to "1" again.
