Come on now? lol I'm sorry I am just not as up to date as you. I will make sure I catch every post next time. But thanks for letting me know it's been talked about in several threads. My apologies. Last edited by c0011j; 09-21-2009 at 07:40 PM. |

Sprint's version IS SIM unlocked, EXCEPT... for US-based GSM towers. What does that mean? As long as you are in the STates, or the SIM card you put in there (home service or roaming), goes onto any US-based GSM networks such as AT&T or T-Mobile, the phone will refuse to register and say no service. On the other hand, VZW and Telus are not on the same boat. Although you need to obtain an unlock (subsidy) code from the providers or 3rd parties. So... until HardSPL comes out or someone figures it out, we can't do pretty much a thing about it. |

Re: TP 2 Unlocked?
Thank you... for enlightening me. I had no idea.. and wasn't really looking for a way to unlock it. That's why I hadn't really searched for any information on the specifics and didn't know.

Re: TP 2 Unlocked?
Its not that I catch every post but before you create a thread its simply a good idea to just search a little and this is one of these things that has been mentioned quite a few times, so sorry if I came across a little rude.

Re: TP 2 Unlocked?
You are using the verizon version which is fine just like the telus version but with sprint its going to take a little more work to find a work around.
