Some problems/questions about verizon tp 2

Hello all

I have had my tp2 from verizon for a couple days now. There are a couple of thing bothering me about this device. I was hoping that I could get some assistence.

1. upon sending a text message, a message sent notification appears. it also kicks me out of landscape mode and proves to be very annoying. is this a problem for everybody? is there an easy way of disabling the notification (without reg edit)? I have tried a cab from a sprint user--no luck.

2. while in touch flow mode (composing a text message, for example), landscape mode doesn't work with g sensor until I switch to wm texting layout. Is TF3D supposed to work with g sensor?

3. is the general consensus about web browsing with this phone that is great? I am not really enjoying it so far with opera. it seems slow. skyfire, for some reason, lowers the resolution.

i HAVE ALSO HAD A COUPLE FREAK OCCURENCES WITH THE PHONE; SUCH AS THE LIGHT SHUTTING OFF FOR NO REASON AFTER 2 SECONDS OFF NON USE, AND THE AUTO SENSOR THAT SHUTS THE LIGHT OFF WHEN ON CLOSE TO THE EAR OPERATING WHILE COMPOSING AN EMAIL. BOTH OF THESE ONLY OCCURED ONCE.. i AM JUST WONDERING IF I GOT A BAD UNIT OR IF IT IS WINDOWS. I PREVIOUSLY USED THE HTC MOGUL; THOUGH NOT A POWER USER, I HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH WINDOWS MOBILE.

Thank you i appreciate any feedback!!!

All the cabs do is do the regedit. Since you have experience with Windows Mobile, why not just do the regedit?

I don't know how to edit the reg. Do you have the same issues with yours?

The Sprint cab doesn't work. Use this one: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=156

Mine rotates with the regular WM interface but not the TF3D interface. I don't like the inconsistencies either, but hopefully they will fix some of that in an upcoming release.

Web browsing seems really great in my opinion. Are you getting a 3G connection?

The sensor thing might be a defect of your phone. I have not had that happen at all.

Re: Some problems/questions about verizon tp 2

I just ordered my Verizon TP2 and it should be here tomorrow or Tuesday. What I am wondering is if we will be able to get a free update to Win 6.5 when it is FINALLY released??? Also, since the TP2 doesn't have a flash, has anyone had any problems taking decent pictures??? I am so excited to get my hands on my TP2....lol.

Re: Some problems/questions about verizon tp 2

the screen rotates (with some lag sometimes)...just not while in tf3d. i wasn't sure if others had that issue. i love the phone, but like you said, not happy with some inconsistencies. Also it isn't as customizable as i wished. i do get 3g.. at home and work not many bars though. even on wifi, it doesnt seem much faster than my old device.
