What are the oem registry settings? I tried to install the mobile shell toggle, only to find out it doesnt work with MS3.5
Now my buttons say SPB and Today2 and I even forgot what the oem ones said.

Unfortunately I can't find my clean registry backup. I should have access to an OEM one later and will let you know

I am well aware of all of this. If you look at the post I was quoting they had said they had gotten it to work using this different method so I gave it a try. As has been stated repeatedly the Sprint version does not seem to have fully working reg entries here. For example the LSKText and RSKPath match up (so you can change this button but not the right one)

Thanks for trying to help though

Sorry about that, I must have missed a few posts. Hopefully when 6.5 drops for Sprint this will get fixed.

I've dealt with this, and it's not as easy as it seems (Sprint). The Advanced Config Tool vs. 3.3 can only remap the left softkey, and you have to do things goofy to make it work. I think Mighty Mike figured this one out, and my use of the SEARCH function found it, and applied it, and have made posts similar to this several times, but here goes again.

Here is my Home Screen (notice the left softkey)

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...1&d=1254556047

Here is what I put in the Advanced Config Tool under Key Mapping

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...1&d=1254556053

Notice I had to put the link for the program for the left softkey in the right softkey link box. Nothing you do will take away the Contacts from coming up when you press the right softkey, and if you don't enter the left softkey link in the right softkey link box, it won't work.

Clear as mud, right?

Here's a little tidbit that may allow some guys to get something working. PocketShield developers have been able to get the RSK long key press to be mapped..

http://forums.jdbp.mobi/phorum/read.php?2,5254

They use the following reg keys to accomplish assigning their own app to the long press:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PocketShield\KY_ENDLON G=133 (DWORD type)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\LongPressEndKey\Aut oExecute=2 (DWORD type)

When I enable this in PocketShield, I do get the desired affect, except it screws up the hardware Volume buttons and no longer function. Pressing either will bring up the onscreen volume bar, but you have to use a finger to change the volume.

Hopefully this helps a little.

*EDIT:

Here are all the keycodes:

Dang it, I just got mine mapped (Verizon Touch Pro 2) and noticed there is button fixer.

I wound up installing Network 3.5 and Advanced Configuration just to get my buttons mapped the way I wanted.

No fix yet, but you can use SSMaHo to rewrite both keys.
