THANK YOU VERY MUCH MindFrost82, after running that zip file and sending and receiving 1 new text after running it corrected the issue on my HTC Touch Pro 2 phone running Windows 6.5!!

Guess im the only one this isnt working for. tried it about three times. ran the file and watched go thru each time. tried sending and recieving txts and soft reset twice. still shows one unread txt on the top of the home screen and lock screen. anyone have any other fix?

Backup your contacts and do a hard reset. That was the only thing that worked for me

Worked like a champ! Thanks a million. Ps. U do hv to do both steps. 1. I saved the zip on my desktop, extracted files to the desktop, drag it to my storage card, put crd into phone, went to Tools folder, File Explorer icon, sel storage card, double click on the "FixUnreadCount icon...it did its thing, done with part one. 2. I softreset, then, sent myself a text, read it and it was gone.
