One thing that is quite annoying for me with this phone is that if the signal is low or its looking for signal it keeps turning itself on. Contrary to my wife Blackberry and Kids Samsung.

They stay with their screen off

I do not want the phone to turn the screen on when is looking for signal. That impacts the battery and also as you have it in your case and moving it will activate other stuff.

Is their some kind of registry tweak to have the screen come on only if I press the power button ON.

Even the calendar reminders should keep screen off, with vibrate it would be enough.
