Re: Can someone sum up how to fix video playback on the Touch Pro2?

I'm getting benchmarks on coreplayer of between 90-60 percent normal play speed. The 90 percent file is an MP4 that I'm trying to set to the right resolution. The 60 percent file is just a garden variety xvid file.

What am I doing wrong here?

After installing the Sprint cleanup Cab from the stickies, I tested Coreplayer and it was able to play a DVD resolution file with no skips or dropped frames. I did increase the buffer from 512 to 1 Meg though in the Coreplayer settings and it seemed to make a difference.

I play straight 480p video on the TP2 in Core Player and TCPMP with everything set to maximum using direct draw and get absolutely perfect video and sound. You are doing something wrong if your TP2 doesn't work.

Re: Can someone sum up how to fix video playback on the Touch Pro2?

I have been having the same problem as well. Lots of skipping. I have converted my DVD's to H.264 480x720res using cucusofts dvd converter and have been playing them with album. sometimes it plays very smooth but at other times is skips alot. I could not put the movies on my sd card with accusync for some reason so i copied them directly to the sd card. Does this have something to do with the sd card. I have been trying to find the cab to speed up ur sd card but I cant find it. Can anybody point me to where I can find it? Will it even help? Thanks

It's a video converter. It's easy to use and made just for this purpose. The mp4 files play perfectly smooth using your album.

Can this convert files directly from DVD? The creator suggested using handbrake first then converting the file which seem kinda tedious.

in general for my coreplayer ver 1.3.6 this is the settings I have
I increased the frame buffer to 2400 kb first
I installed GFX and At0mAng drivers and finally I installed the TCPMP codec packs found here. I haven't had many issues with core playing any of my anime (and this is a 4.2 gb 1280x800 file that my computer couldn't play)
Very good playback

I haven't tried. I typically acquire either avi or mkv files and it converts both of those perfectly.

I do get dvr-ms files from my media center recordings and I've had mixed results at best using that program. I could convert to avi first, but as you said, it seems too tedious. If the software would monitor and auto-convert a folder, it wouldn't be bad at all.

Well this converter seem to have trouble converting directly from DVDs. I did play around with some of the recording settings. My first try i used the default settings for cucusoft converting to h.264 and the bitrate was over 750. Setting it to 500 helped a lot. also intalling the gfx boost and the Ati driver enhancement seemed to help also. Its still choppy in some parts but much better than before. Gonna continue to tweak on it some more
