Re: Friend asked why I didn't buy an iPhone...
A picture speaks louder then words (and yeh its a bit outdated but eh)
or you can say "For every iPhone someone buys, Steve Jobs kills a kitten"

Re: Friend asked why I didn't buy an iPhone...
I was with the board president of an HOA the other day as she was on a long call with the local utility on her iPhone. She was on hold a lot, and saying her battery was going dead. It died while she was on hold. I said (knowing she couldn't) "Just toss in your spare battery and call them back". Later I took out my TP2, and she was freaked at all the programs I had on it. I then said, yeah, they're almost all free, and showed her several. Then I did a scan and perfect recognition of a business card with WorldCard Mobile, and then I told her my service was a "little pricey, $49 a month" (I'm on a SERO 1250 minute plan) and she almost smashed her iPhone on the ground, she faked like she was going to. Her contract is about up, I think she'll be joining us soon.

Re: Friend asked why I didn't buy an iPhone...
When I got my TP2 last week, I didn't even tell anyone. They all assumed it was another iPhone like theirs. Then I popped out the keyboard and tilted up the razor sharp screen to watch youtube on my desk, and their jaws dropped. Then I loaded up a page in Opera and showed them clearly readable text with the screen zoomed all the way out.
WM users have the option of HD-res devices while the iPhone users are all excited to finally have video. We have the option of keyboards that can crank out real emails in a respectable timeframe, while still having the convenience of quick texting with a very stable onscreen keyboard. Apps only available on the iPhone? Pocket PCs have a library of years worth of apps available. When I got my TP2, I popped the MicroSD out of my Titan and instantly had access to more than 2 GB of software, photos, docs and music on my TP2. No syncing required. |

Re: Friend asked why I didn't buy an iPhone...
My Answer......................
1) I like the freedom to change, tweak , make my phone mine. 2) I love the open capability to design and build my own programs. 3) I like NOT TO ASK PERMISSION from anyone. and Lastly THIS IS THE IPHONE KILLER PHONE... and to quote Pinky and the brain " This is how we conquer the world!!!!!"=D>

Re: Friend asked why I didn't buy an iPhone...
and this is why i hate the iphone. everybody thinks its the coolest because of the comericals and stuff. they dont realize our phones can do a lot more.
can you really not take out the battery? so i can assume that its just like the ipods? i asked a guy that was selling a car for some pics of the car. he said he couldnt but he could email them from his iphone. doesnt att also have a special plan for iphones? thats stupid if they do. or is it pretty much just a smartphone plan but with the words iphone on it?
