Soft reset what what.. No need to drill the back door!

I must admit drilling the back door can be fun... no not the cover on my HTC phone. I was actually refering to my wife.

Anyway here is a link for a soft reset cab. Pick one and have at it. I choose Power Options 1.2 so I know that one works. I choose it for the features, like shut off screen allowing the music to still run or wi-fi to stay on because the phone is on just not the screen. The one above PO1.2 looks fun and cool but not nearly as usful.

Link below!

the user who drilled his cover will be laughing when this app wont come in handy for flash-a-holiccs who use bootloader like religion. but yes these apps r useful. lol

Nor would one find much use for such apps in circumstances where the device is 'frozen' and unresponsive.

Whoever put the reset hole under the battery cover should be stoned to death in front of his/her father's house!

Yeah I already had a soft reset button in the software, but I decided to drill the hole for times when you cant access the software.....especially since the phone is new and Im still tweaking and installing tons of apps.

I was almost ready to drill a hole myself. However this app will do the job for me. I dont mind removing the back door once in ahwile if need be. But right now with all the modding I need something right there right now.

Advance config3.3 also has a soft reset but you cant set that to a start tab.

Re: Soft reset what what.. No need to drill the back door!

I have to admit, I'm more partial to the whole drill bit method. I've got Advanced Config for soft reset if necessary. But in a pinch.. yeah.

Of course, we all hope we never have the hard lock that requires a reset.

Re: Soft reset what what.. No need to drill the back door!

There are times that the device does lock up on you and you can not access any software on your device and leaving you with no other opption but to soft reseting your device by shoving the stylus in the hole under the back door, kinda sounds nice!!
lol

Re: Soft reset what what.. No need to drill the back door!

I drilled a hole in mine. More convenient. I performed soft resets so often with the Touch Vogue and TP1 that my muscle memory in my hand wants to kick in. Too bad the reset button isnt at the bottom of the phone.
