When the official 6.5 is released

Hows it all gonna work? On the 6th will it be up on Microsofts website for download? Will ppcgeeks have it? Will xda have it? You dont have to have hard spl to flash a shipped rom right? and im sure every provider will have a version? or does the carriers need to get ahold of it and make their crap from it first....... Are we close??????

I know im gsm and already have hard spl with 6.5 roms out, but i wanna stay stock this time around... Too much headache on my tp1 flashing every week..... I just want official 6.5 rom so when ya all think we can get ahold of it?????????????????????

It will be available from HTC's website. Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile will have links to the HTC website for the proper rom for your carrier.

The way it worked for the Mogul for Sprint when MS changed from 6.0 to 6.1 was 6.1 was out for a bit before Sprint created a new ROM for it.

Creating a ROM from a carrier takes a while because it has to be perfect (or as close as possible), so I would expect a ROM update with 6.5 probably a month or two after it comes out.

Im only familier with flashing off here/ppcgeeks not anywhere else, also ive only been into phones since the 6.1 was already out, so i dont know how it all works, im a noob on this subject...

hmmm, so we can flash 6.5 but still wait on a carrier specific one also?

i just know all versions keyboards are diff so ya almost would have to wait for a carrier specific one..

You will have to wait for a carrier-specific ROM (or a cooked one once the unlocker becomes available). You're on T-Mobile, you should be able to jump in and start cooking ROMs.. check the GSM section.

Yea, thats why I said i know im gsm and already have the unlocker but, I dont wanna get a cooked rom right now, If I have to wait too much longer I think I will, but untill then, I just wanna see what the official 6.5 can do. I flashed the crap out of my tp1 and dont want the headache right now and I dont wanna do all the fixes. Its nice not to have to hard reset because of some fluke crazy crap.

The touch pro 1 it was needed for sure though.
