I've actually run into the same issue with Opera when surfing onto other sites (randoms). I think it may have something to do with the embedded flash. Perhaps these issues will disappear with Opera 9.7.

can anyone get remote control working? I'm using PIE and I get the remote control and file manager screen but after clicking on remote control I'm just presented with a blank screen.

You'll have to downgrade IE like someone stated earlier in this thread.

Try this reg edit (taken from the treo pro, thx to Codyppc):
HKLM\Security\Internet Explorer\MSHTML=0

I don't have one to test with to confirm that it works but I don't see why it shouldn't.
